Makes elevation adjustments easy. Pull a pin and adjust to your height. Pricy, yes. Buy once cry once. It will last forever. Make sure you lock it up in use though. It attracts attention when people see it when ur travelling. Usually the wrong people too, who would steal it.

The convert-a-ball base started rusting in a week. Sad but manageable. Hitch itself is a heavy duty work of art. Get a good lock or I bet you wont have it for long.

This is a nicely engineered piece of equipment. All the pieces have a great finish and function well together. I'm looking forward to using this for its versatility with three different ball sizes (have to buy the 1 7/8" ball separately). My 2005 Ram 2500 sits very high compared to where my car hauler wants to be so this is a great solution without having the vertical shank always hanging low to the ground. I like how it adjusts upward and downward. The only minor potential flaw is for security reasons. While you can buy locks for the shank in the receiver, and for your trailer, this hitch is put together with #8 bolts, removing two of those bolts allows one part to separate from the other which means someone could conceivably steal a trailer off the truck. I don't think that would happen, but keep that in mind if you park overnight somewhere unfamiliar.I think replacing the nylock nut with a standard nut and applying a small tack weld to it should make it so theft would be nearly impossible.

This thing was so smooth, that when I got out to level the trailer when it was loaded, it was going so quick I even forgot to secure the ball latch. However because the trailer hitch is so well made and easy to balance it actually road free like that without coming off the ball hitch 42 miles down the road with 7,000lb load. Pulled off and was so impressed how smooth it had been towing I had to go check again and that's when I noticed the ball latch had been entirely open that entire time. Slapped it close real fast. However it pulled so well behind my 99 F250 7.3 that I'm being honest it's that well made I wouldn't have noticed.

I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to commend their customer service. I JUST got the hitch today...and it is missing 1 of the 2 balls that is supposed to come with it. I can tell from the packaging that the box had been opened...so it was probably a return and someone didn't put the ball back in. The hitch itself looks unused though...and it is gonna be a hassle to return. I called Rhino directly, told them, and they are shipping me the missing ball no charge....no questions asked...to save the hassle of returning and all. Since it takes a standard 1 inch shank, I can move my old ball over and still use the hitch for now until the right "convert-a-ball" shows up from them. So while I can't make any comments yet on the hitch itself, my first experience with customer service was top notch. I'll come back and add notes about the hitch once I have used it for the first time. Oh...and someone answered right away when I called, was an actual worker and not a call center. Benefits of a "made in the USA" product!

High quality, very versatile - It’s very easy to adjust the height unlike most hitches. Expensive but it’s a well build product and it looks awesome. Time will tell about durability but I think it will last. I had a small shipping issue and the customer service was quick and solved the problem to my satisfaction, so far I’m very happy with it.
