They are cute but a little hard to put on. Sometimes i struggle pulling the pieces apart so if you have shaky hands it might be hard to put on. I tried them on thin pants and they held up. I tried them on jeans and I ended up putting only one side of it on and pulling a belt loop on it instead of having the full piece since it was a bit harder to put both pieces on. It's a quick fix.

I actually purchased these to use on a few t-shirts and as shawl pins. They are a very large, substantial pin so beware that they will leave holes in your fabric (less like a safety pin, more like an upholstery tack). On a heavier fabric, like denim, the holes should disappear after a washing. But on thinner fabric, like a t-shirt, the holes may stay so beware. But, for my purposes, the clothes are practically unwearable at this point so I am willing to deal with the holes in order to be able to wear them. As for using these as a shawl pin, it works, but the shawl I tried it on is very lightweight and these are a little too heavy for that application. I may try again on something with a heavier weave, like a pashmina, but not on the knitted lace. As for their intended purpose, jeans, they work great! But, as other reviewers have noted, the back side of the pin is quite large so if you adjust the waistband tight, the pin backs will likely dig into your skin. That should be obvious from the listing photos but I, too, did not take that into consideration. However, I believe that they do exactly what they are advertised for and for that I gave them five stars but I will probably not purchase again.

it was hard pinning it through my jeans, and i had to definitely watch the vid to figure out how to loosen it (oops). on the positives, you can't really tell you have it on, because it looks like a cute accessory to the jean. it does its job

Did not like the fact it needed to be assembled. Got tired of twisting the pearl part to separate the pin. I see why there were no assembly instructions. I will buy another type.

The idea is a great one. Thought this would be the answer to hold pants up when waist is too large. But they're difficult to install. Though it would be worth the trouble in the end to prevent falling pants. Turns out they are uncomfortable to wear, digging into your skin, even through a blouse or tucked in sweater.

I like it. It's usefull, but I wish the pins were more were thinner, because it destroys fabrics of a shirts, because it leaves holes. That's why I think it's only suitable for pants

I found the trick to opening them easily was to start to twist them open as much ans you can, and then pull apart from the small tab at the end - if I don’t do this I can’t get the pins apart. Two sets in a pack. Great for pinning at the back of a skirt. The pins are a little thick so they can be a little difficult to push through material + and elastic waistband, but very doable. Will purchase in other colours.Update: After some use I now see what people are referring to when they say they dig in. This happened to me while sitting back on a sofa. So they can be slightly uncomfortable if leaning against them, but if I was sitting with good posture this wouldn’t have been the case. I also had them pinned at the back of my skirt so if you had them on the side it may not affect you at all. Will definitely still buy in other colours :)

Assembling seems easy enough, will update if problems arise. As of now, seems excellent.
