This was a compatible fit and generates enough voltage to power acessories and keep battery full. The smaller connectors on the lower side didn't go straight on, but had to be bent a bit to fit, but it worked. I am happy with this part. Seems very robust!

Quality seems good, but hit a dead end when I realized I was going to have to modify my voltage regulator connections to fit. Ran out of daylight. Saw a few other reviews mention this - cannot line up all four mounting points for the voltage regulator without a couple modifications. Might not be an issue for everyone, but it is on my ‘98 XJ.Either way, like I said, the alternator was shipped quick, packaged great and looks sturdy. I have no reason to think it won’t work fine once it’s completely installed.

my original alternator died on me. this was delivered fast and it was a quick install on my 2.5 1994 yj wrangler. if its last me 5+ years its all good

DO NOT BUY THIS ALTERNATOR! I installed it on m Jeep Cherokee and issues started right away, I chased down all possible reasons and found no culprit. I finally took it to the Auto shop and they tested it 3 times, all three failed. It should teach me a lesson not to buy cheap chineez auto parts. Save yourself some time and heartache, spend a little more and buy American made, shoot even the ones from Mexico are far above what they sold me.

I would be driving along fine when the jeep would beep, and the voltmeter would drop to 9V (zero) and the "check gauges" light would come on. This started intermittantly, and increased until it would happen within second of starting the jeep, this was soon going to kill the battery.So, I priced alternators locally and nothing less than $300CAD. Ordered this one, which came in a few days, and installed it with no problem at all. Started the jeep and it worked. The problem has not come back and is solved.This was a short while ago, but the build quality felt good and I do not expect to revisit this review in the future.
