Smoke alarm in the camper crapped out and I needed a small one to replace it. This 2 pack was a very good price. They came with 9v batteries wrapped in plastic to prevent discharge. The screw holes weren't same as original so I used one screw and "alien" tape on the other side. Tested it, yep it beeps. Works as needed.

I have this device for over a year. Because of the price, I don't know if it works or not. Yesterday, this device saved our house. I was using the air fryer toaster oven when it caught on fire. It was 2 am, and I was in the shower after a long day at work. I cannot thank the people who made this product enough.This device will only work with 1.5v aa battery. If you are using 1.2v, it will alarm after a few days for low battery warning. It won't stop until you remove the battery. The red light will blink once every 40 seconds indicating that it is working.

Needed to replace older larger units. Of course since these are smaller, it required some painting. They work well and kept us up to date on our equipment. Only issue is that we need to keep our bathroom door shut after a shower. The heat/steam from the shower will set off the alarm which is positioned on the ceiling right outside the bathroom.

The one I put in my bedroom fell off of the wall as the tape is not sticky enough to hold without the screws
