Love the lathe. It’s a work horse, I’ve put maybe 200 hours on it so far in a few months turning every day. I wish I would have gone bigger but for an entry level and not sure if I would like it this is a great deal.

I turn many bowls and bowls are hard on the machine. This little lathe is a real work horse. It fits on my bench and I can turn all kinds of things. I never had used a lathe before I bought it. I just figured out how to do it. This is perfect for beginners

My wife gave me a wood lathe for xmas. She is a "TOOL TIME"/Home Improvement fan. (Bigger, better, more powerful, etc.!!!!). I said thank you and returned the lathe because it was expensive, huge, heavy, could have turned an oil drum, and didn't fit in my shop. After much research, I decided on the Jet. It "turned" out to be exactly what I was looking for. The best parts: priced right, great for the new user, simple to operate, quality construction, and simply one that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for this kind of lathe. Caution: You still need the tools and accessories to make full use of this machine and that will cost at least the same or more than the lathe. BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!

Very nice bench top lathe. Works great. Suggest getting the one with variable speed adjustment on the dial versus this one where you have to move the belt but it is not hard to adjust the belt. Great product.

I’ve been using this lathe for three weeks or so. So far, it has performed well and appears to be great value for money and ideal for beginners, especially those that want to get into turning without investing lots of money in a full-sized or full-featured lathe. Adjusting the belt and pulleys to change RPMs is quick and easy. My only complaint is that the lathe was delivered with a broken plastic bezel on the ON/OFF switch. I contacted the dealer and a replacement part has been ordered. I can recommend this product.

This is a great size lathe for the beginner. Have several stacks of glued material ready to turn. Very easy to operate, easy to change speeds. And quiet.

I think beginners and pros alike will like this lathe. Easy to set up and get started right out of the box. The adjustment handles are nice with the spring loaded lever to get them out of the way. The tailstock moves and adjusts smoothly. The motor runs smooth and quiet. The machine has a nice weight to it to keep it in place, yet light enough to move around fairly easy if need. Having limited space it is the perfect size for my needs.

Bought this one after reading all the reviews and a friend's good experiences with a Jet 1014.It's rugged, well built and in good alignment. Easy to change speeds. Mounted it on a 2x12 boltedto a Craftsman lathe stand, and put a grinder on the end. I hadn't turned in 45 years, already gettingthe knack of it somewhat.

Mejor de lo que esperaba, la calidad de los ajustes es buena, se puede usar todo comodamente con la mano, venia muy bien empacado, viene con punta de arrastre, plato para 4 tornillos y una barra para remover los centros, me quedo muy contento con el rendimiento del motor y las velocidades, no viene con patas de goma para tenerlo en cuenta.
