If you want quality, look no further. I bought the red hose and was happy with the quality of the material. I have bought other hoses in the past that have dried up in the heat of the Southern Nevada sun. This hose seems to be strong, abrasion resistant and made of a material that has not been deteriating in the sun. I would not think twice about buying this hose again. A helpful hint is that Amazon Prime puts it on sale up to 31% off normal price. I hope this review was helpful...

To start, these are a good price. My primary use is with a 1.5" 1/2HP sump pump (frequent use). Durability seems pretty good so far and it fit standard 1.5" connections well (as expected). I have not tested full winter conditions yet (often 0° F-40° F and back over the course of a few days) as it is early in the season, but I will edit this review if there are any major issues. The hoses themselves have a strong plastic smell, however their use is outdoor and uninhabited areas so this has not been an issue for me at all.The only real issue I have with them so far is that they are not very pliable which makes them very easy to kink, so make sure to test and double check whatever you are using them on after getting set up. Despite this I will most likely buy more of these for future use.

This is the best quality possible. Can sustain high pressures and temperatures. I had zero issues using as a pool discharge hose with 2hp pump from 2" line. You can not fold it and have water flow, but try folding a straw or garden hose and trying to use it properly. Ignore negatives. This is a commercial grade chemical resistant hose at the price of cheap plastic box hardware store pool supplies. Price comparison is because I paid under $40 for this prior to tax with Amazon Prime free shipping.

My pool is in a "bowl" of ground - surrounded by hills and garden. This was exactly what I needed. It screws dirctly into my 1 and 1/2" pool outlet and the connectors are extremely heavy duty - so I can remove/reinstall anytime without ripping the hose (which was my problem with thin cheap hoses with tightening brackets). The PSI on this hose is 2x the strength of other hoses that I was researching, which is a huge plus.

This is junk we used it once for our pool back wash and it broke immediately. Don't buy its not strong at all.

I have bought four of these, 2 for my neighbor and two for myself, this is the first time of use for this one and it's failing. The ad says these are rated at Max 200 PSI, I just noticed my hoses are stamped 150 psi , I didn't check my neighbors yet. This is crazy though because I don't even have 75psi on the hose. I have no way to even bring it to 150 much less 200 so I was not even worried about any bursting type problems. I am trying to contact amazon through chat right now about this failure. This is going to really suck if my neighbors are this way as well - she is elderly and I am not going to like having to go tell her the great deal I got us on these " supposedly better" hoses was a bad deal. I will update when I get more info. I can't believe this is happening. There is literally less than 30 minutes use on this, I just got them out to use.------------------seems the problem is always within 10 feet of the end of the hose for some reason, I wonder if it's possible the machines being used to produce them have a fault and are damaging them some how periodically. I have no corroboration for that, I am just guessing. after extensive sessions with Amazon ( Who have been absolutely great with this problem and understanding) an acceptable resolution has been implemented. I think one of the problems , misunderstandings, is the description and title for this. it has two ratings in the description and that is leading. a 200 PSi rating is NOT printed on this hose. 150 Max is. the 200psi in the title and other places in the description seems to be made up and misleading. HOWEVER! the misleading rating did not cause my product fails. some kind of flaws in the MFG are doing that at MUCH lower psi than 150, even less than half as you can see. The misleading Rating did cause the confusion as I was thinking I was sent the wrong product entirely and that led me to believe If I got the correct one I would be happy as the rest of these guys LOL. I didn't want to leave anyone hanging with this resolution and the outcome of this particular order. this was the very soonest I could update.

Used to drain down pool in fall. Pumped water from deep end intake and closed off the skimmer valve. Job was done in hardly any time. Beats the hell out of using those cheap backwash hoses. Used flexible pvc line to ground level with threaded fitting on end. Hose just threads on and I roll it out to the driveway and the water goes to storm drain on road. Good for back washing pool filter also

Used this to empty my pool with a submersible pump. Well made fittings with double clamps and reinforced hose. My only complaint is the terrible plastic smell. Even after a couple of weeks sitting in a well ventilated area, it still smells really bad. Will need to let it sit longer before I bring it inside the house for storage.

This hose material is not meant to be laid in any direction but 'totally straight'. it does not curve around anything and will kink if a curve is attempted and the flow is gravity-based. This really limits the product's use

This disharge hose works well, we're happy with it, the only complaint is that it kinks easier than I'd like, but I think all discharge hoses are like that.
