I would first like to say that I personally do not use these. I purchased them for my 11 yr old who is just learning and using her clarinet 2 times daily, once during band class for approximately 30 mins. Then at night when she practices for about another 30 mins. She is very happy with them. I asked her if they are comfortable and she said yes. But before we had these she had no pad on the thumb rest at all. She loves the colors and how she can change it whenever she wants. The stay on the thumb rest ok, i wouldn't say well because they could definitely fall off it you bump it hard enough. Definitely would buy again.

They a great and I love them, but they aren’t as comfortable as i thought they would be! Don’t get me wrong they are great and wonderful for what I need, but they aren’t as soft as I thought!

These are made of a stiff plastic. They are not soft or comfortable on the oboe. They do fit the smaller thumbrest of the oboe. They wouldn't fit a clarinet thumbrest, and have no stretch.
