I put these on our Seagull Entourage (mini jumbo) acoustic and couldn’t be happier. Now it’s difficult to put down the guitar I’ve never been really excited about, honestly. The warmth and quality of the sound is just outstanding. Thank you, Dunlop.UPDATE: Now I have them on my Cordoba Mini M, and they’re wonderful.

I play and record with a variety of 6- and 12-string guitars, including a nylon-strung classical guitar. I recently learned about nylon string sets with ball ends, and decided to experiment putting a set on one of my guitars made for steel strings. I like the feel and the sound of nylon strings for some songs, but I wondered how they would feel on the narrower and radiused neck of a guitar that I've played for years with steel strings. The nylons have only been on this guitar for a few days and my initial reaction is mostly positive. I widened the string slots on the nut to accommodate the thicker strings, and that worked out well. WARNING to others who want to try this, the strings do stretch initially for a period of time, but I don't find these are any worse than the D'Addarios I use on my classical guitar. I'm comfortable with the closer string spacing than on the classical, but the lower tension (compared to the steel strings previously on this guitar) means I need to be more precise with my finger placement as they tend to "bend" notes when not intended. On the flip side of that, they do "bend" more easily when I want to.There were a number of string manufacturers who make ball end nylon strings, including Martin, D'Addario, Ernie Ball, and others. Because this was just an experiment, I chose these Dunlops for the low price. I find them to work well and therefore a good value for the price.I haven't had these strings long enough to rate longevity, so that may take an update to this review.

So far just love the treble strings; they seem to be rectified nylon. They have a very nice voice to them and are on the medium low tension side which I like. Some strings have a wow factor at first and then I feel they lack nuance and resonance even though they are loud and clear.

I’ve ordered hundreds of items via Amazon and can count on one hand the number of bad reviews I’ve written. This is one of them. The first string broke at the bridge upon installation, while winding and nowhere near standard pitch. I’ve been playing guitar for 25 years and know what I’m doing. This was simply a defective product.

I ordered 14 sets of these strings to replace the old strings on the student guitars in my classroom and within a week the A-strings began unraveling. At this point, over half of the A-strings have had to be replaced on these guitars. Don't waste your money. Pay a little more and get a higher quality set of strings.

Inicialmente me parecieron buenas cuerdas, tenÃan un sonido claro y brillante, pero esto duró apenas unos dÃas, una semana después el sonido habÃa cambiado totalmente, las cuerdas estaban totalmente amarillas, pasado un mes la 5 y 6 cuerda literalmente se deshicieron, mayormente tocó guitarra eléctrica asà que les di muy poco uso y aun asà no duraron ni un mes.
