We rarely make impulse purchases like we used to, but Joe Snow was so cute we had to get it! We barely read the description and never even read the reviews like we usually do. We never read the spoilers about the bonus magnet included. We just clicked Joe into the cart and he was a true delight to receive with surprises! Granted, the Prime Day deal made it a bit easier to swallow (we would have thought twice at regular price).We’ve always heard about keeping baking soda in the fridge, but we’ve never done it. Frankly, we don’t know what’s supposed to be so bad about the smell of a fridge. It’s just a collection of normal food inside. We’ve never noticed any particular smells, leastwise bad ones. As a matter of fact, we keep our baking soda (for baking) in the fridge in an airtight baggie so that it won’t absorb any of the alleged fridge funk.That being said, when we saw Joe Snow we thought, “Now that’s the way to keep baking soda! Maybe we should do that.†After all, if we’re going to try this baking soda thing, we certainly don’t want an ugly box. We love the whimsical aspect of a practical item. Yes, Joe’s kind of small. But how much baking soda do you really need? What are you keeping in there that requires a giant box of soda? If your fridge reeks that badly, just change out Joe’s supply. To us, a moderate amount of baking soda should do the job just fine, since we never had a problem to begin with while using the grand sum of none. We got Joe Snow because we laughed at the idea of a polar bear living in the fridge. If he does something while he’s chillin’ in there, great!

Like others have said, this is pretty small. But who wants a big honkin' lump taking up valuable fridge real estate lol? But thanks to all the venting on sides and especially the back, it does the job exceptionally well.I was gonna buy the less expensive "cow" holder. But honestly, I was so amused by the marketing and "Joe story" provided here by the seller, that I just had to reward that effort with my purchase. Glad I did - Joe makes me smile when I open the fridge. Because of that, I dont even keep him in the back like I did the A&H cardboard fridge boxes.

I am very pleased with how well "Joe Snow" absorbs the odors in the refrigerator. Much cuter than the baking soda box. I also received a cute magnet with the purchase. I'm thinking that this will make a nice stocking stuffer for Christmas. Thank you!

Bonito quita olores, hay que rellenarlo con bicarbonato sódico, que es el que supuestamente absorbe los olores y la humedad de frigorÃfico, de momento no tengo olores en él frigo, y el oso queda muy gracioso dentro del frigo.
