Little tool, big results. Johnson's easy to use 12" metal combination square gives you the accuracy and precision you need for every job. Its stainless steel blade has english graduations of 1/8", 1/16" and 1/32" as well as metric graduations that are permanently etched in black for easy readability. It features a durable acrylic vial, heavy-duty cast zinc head with a black, chip-resistant e-coating finish, and hardened screw-in scriber that won't fall out so that this combo square can withstand even the roughest job site abuse. It was also designed with maximum accuracy in mind - its square head is CNC machined for greater accuracy, and the Auto-Lock™ blade assembly makes it easier to accurately line up your tool for use.

I am not a tool snob, but I do like quality tools. I already have a really nice PEC square that is built/rated to very high specifications. I thought I would buy this just to have around when I needed something for measuring lumber (2 X 4 ) without breaking out my really nice square. When I opened the package I was really impressed with the weight of this tool. It does not feel like a cheaply made tool at all. Then I did the test where you take the square - draw a line about the length of the square, then turn it around and duplicate the line. To my surprise this square is every bit as square as my PEC! If you are new to woodworking, I would suggest picking this square up. I am going to treat this tool as if it cost me 100 bucks just because it is so well made. I wish all low cost tools were of this caliber of quality.

Love that is stainless steel so it won’t corrode in humid Florida, love that the numbers are etched and won’t rub off, love how it’s a very solid hunk off metal and not some plastic Tonka Toy piece of junk, love how it has both inches and metric, and love how my table saw blade is finally square!! And all at a reasonable price. This is the one to have!

I recently purchased the tool and it is square and very good quality. Unfortunately my unit had a slight issue in that the ruler would not hold tight due to the lock nut and spring combination. I contacted the company and they immediately issued an RMA, a shipping slip and promptly returned a brand new unit.I would not hesitate to buy from them again, the fact that they honor their warranty and provide up to date communication along with a good sturdy, quality tool makes them an A+ value brand!

Hard to read scale on a thin, flimsy and toyish steel rule. Do not buy.

The combi square seems well made, accurately set to 90 and 45 degrees. The rule has been cut a tad short of the 0mm mark but I tend to mark from one mid-point to another to avoid errors where the very ends of rules are cut. The level bubble seems dead on when doing the “mark it on a wall and flip it over testâ€. Also, the thumb screw works well and the scribe is a nice touch.
