Easy to install, used the plug on a 10# extension cord.

I got this to replace the female end of an extension cord I use for my RV; instead of buying another $240.00 cord, why not just replace what is broken? I have been running my RV AC for about a week now, and it is holding up. I am happy with this purchase, and if I need any more parts, I will buy from this seller.

The items were nicely packaged, and built of what appears to be quality products. Fit and finish is exactly what the imagines on the website showed.

The original plug on my extension cord was rated for 15a (and silly me, buying the 12ga cord, thought they'd have stouter plugs). Well, so the original socket on the extension cord got all toasty and spat the white smoke, but this new plug made an excellent conversion for my extension cord to be able to actually handle the amps now.I love how grippy the plug is, and the product has an all-around well-thought and designed feel to it.The only thing I find minorly disconcerting is the holes retaining the face and rear end of the plug together- they have an extremely aggressive thread pitch, making me feel like they're just plastic screws, and I'd suspect that would be the first failure point years down the road (or if the shop-gorilla hams on them while installing). I see how grippy the plug is, and how satisfying the connection system is as worth it though, for this minor setback. If the manufacturer ends up reading my post though- I'd love if you changed manufacturing methods to instead use threaded brass inserts in lieu of the plastic-screws.

The old female plug on me heavy duty 20 Amp extension cord melted. I bought this to replace the melted molded one. I cut and stripped the wires. It was easy to install the new plug. Push the wires in, tighten the screws, turn on the power, done. Way cheaper than replacing the whole wire.

I recommend sealing both ends with silicone rubber and then use some on the outside as this plastic will crack too easy in cold temps, imo from experience.....
