Leviton products in general are pretty good and this plug is very good as well.Functionally it works fine, easy to use, designed well at a reasonable cost. Unbranded plugs are usually questionable junk.

I built lamps for my kids and I was looking for plug to convert these items from french electricity to US's. Now it's done and my kids are very happy with it. This model is a little bit difficult to open, but when it's done, the result is very good.

Not as hard to get apart as some had reported, not easy but a couple of small blade screwdrivers did the trick. Easy to install, used some heat shrink to make the cord fit better.

As others said, it is hard too take apart to connect wires. Use a screwdriver or other thin tool to hold the sides apart so you can remove the middle part. There was not enough room for me to make a knot in the cord for strain relief. It is a inexpensive cord plug that I used to replace a molded one where the lamp wires were broken internally and a fire hazard. It did the job well.

Kind of silly to write a review of a $2.50 plug, but.... This is actually a well made and secure replacement cord cap. Had to replace the prior plug because it pretty much fell apart. This one is well made and gets the job done

Not the easiest to open. This is the most available replacement 2 prong plug in hardware stores. Adequate for the job.

It is not as difficult to pop the inner part out as people have said. Just don't be scared to pry it out. the "wings" that keep it in are rather large so you have to pry more than you might think. I love the way it connects to the wire by screws, and it feels very rigid after the outer shell is back on. I will update if that is not the case. I would've liked the hole the cord passes through to be a bit smaller, especially since this is marketed as a lamp plug... but if you really wanted to, a dab of hot glue or silicone would help secure it and seal it. I bought it for a garage lamp so that's what I did. Overall, I am very pleased and would buy again if needed and would recommend.
