these are -NOT- 5/8 standard and were closer to 7/8 but when I measured them on a 7/8 pipe they were too small! they are not us standard size.

I do not know what size these are but they are NOT 1/4”. It is bigger than 1/4 but smaller than 5/16. Maybe metric. Maybe just non-standard trash can material.
