It easily allowed me to repin modular PC power supply cables (Mini-Fit Jr. pins) - just press and plunge! Cheaper than buying new cables, too. I'm 100% super pleased.

I wasn't too optimistic that this would work that great. My experience with the flimsy pin extractors was so bad, but this tool makes pushing out Molex MiniJr pins a breeze. I even pushed out totally mangled pins from old connectors that I had given up on using the old method and was going to throw away. Wow, this things works.

Works when other solutions are unsatisfactory. You do have to push kinda hard which surprised me.

This tool makes removing the pins from molex mint fit jr connectors a "snap"! Super easy. Forget the original Molex tool. Get this instead! Kiss me later.

Faced with a couple of new spendy workstation builds + fed up with 'staple' removal method as seen on YT videos, I wanted to make 100% custom PSU cables this time and ditch with the 'one length fits all' stock cables. And as builder's know, a few stock molex minfit-jr's need to be re-purposed for such a task which can be a PITA!So after trying other low budget throw-away and frankly, cheesy tools, I broke down and suffered additional build delays ordering the JRready DAP-D173 tool and receiving it not knowing how it worked. Looked good but a little pricey having reflected on the funds I already spent on frustrating 'tools' I had already spent what they were asking for the JRready DAP-D173. Oh well. But it paid off and now here to report it worked fine with a few practice runs aided, in my case, by a lighted 3X magnifying desk lamp.I quickly (like 20 minutes) learned to do multiple pin removals (not one at a time) and pull them all away from the housing with one pull! No problem. The spring loaded ejection pin is the key advantage for this tool. Learn to insert tool to proper depth and with co-ordination using the the muscular portion of the palm of your hand below the pinkey finger-- push the plunger towards the housing which pushes the tool pin to eject the connector pin and you'll have it made.

On mini-fit jr, it failed to extract pins. Did extract sockets. Did 8. Prongs bent. Very difficult to insert. Just failed to perform as advertised. Returned. !edit 10/5/24! JRready customer service contacted me and used my feedback to redesign the tool, sent me a video, and a new tool. I can planely see they have made the prongs thinner. The revised tool functioned very well on extracting both pins and sockets on Mini-fit jr. The tool's spring loaded ejection pin is a vast improvement over the older simple prongs and the thinner prongs fit inside the housing properly. I am pleased with the tool now and impressed with company service. I would recommend JRready and advise to reach out to them with any issues. !2nd edit! Increased 1star to 4stars. Added FIXED to title. Note: I didn't increase to 5 stars as issue shouldn't have occurred at all. But nobody is perfect.

This removal tool is one of the best I've used for this style of pin, the spring loaded release is great. If you often struggle to remove pins, this will save you alot of time and frustration. Good value for money 💰
