Don't buy this product. It's poor quality and cheaply made. The idea is great but the item came scratched and damaged so it's difficult to read through. It worked for about 10 minutes and then the lights weren't as bright anymore and started dimming then eventually completely went out. The batteries I put in were brand new. I contacted Amazon immediately for refund and the item went in the trash. Don't waste your time.

When I was looking at reviews for this, I noticed they were all scratched up. I just assumed it was because they used it so much, but no; I've had this for a week maybe and it has a ton of scratches already. Also, the batteries will only work if it's in a very specific way (at least for mine). The battery in the middle has to be at an angle for it to actually light up. I spend a good ten minutes trying to figure this out. Other than that, it's a pretty good book light, but if you're planning on purchasing this, maybe just get one of those book clips.

I was skeptical at first after reading the reviews but I want to give it a try. It works perfect for what I need it for but it is very prone to fingerprints and scratches.

Got this awhile ago, use it in case emergency for long car rides and plane trips but it came very scratched up and it’s hard to see through the scratches at the print. Good concept. I recommend to Buy better quality device. Very bright. Works for what’s needed with some quality issues. I haven’t had to change the battery yet and I’ve used it for at least 10 hours in total plus shelf life. Doesn’t charge, takes battery.

I received the product today. I was so excited but when I opened the box, the screen was scratched up and already had finger prints on it. I bought it "new" but it's definitely not new.Returning it is a hassle so I guess I'll stay stuck with a user and scratched device.
