This set includes *almost* everything a beginner needs to get into stained glass making - a cork board, 16 wood blocks for layout, 100 push pins, and 4 pieces of stained glass tools (2 different sizes of cow bone knives). This kit does not include a soldering iron or solder or anything of that nature to work on your project. You could still need: running pliers, a soldering iron, pattern templates, jack chain, consumables (like copper foil, solder, etc), safety equipment, etc. - all of which can be found on Amazon.The materials in this kit are a great start in my opinion (at a good price!) on your stained-glass journey. The cork is solid and the wood blocks with it are smooth and without burrs or anything. They're also pre-drilled with holes for your push pins (nails). These materials would be used in order to ensure straight lines and a good border to your project.Whether you're a first-time beginner or gifting a kit to someone to begin their steps on this hobby, this kit is a good quality at a reasonable price in my opinion. It's not ALL of the materials to begin, but it's probably a good start! I really liked this kit and definitely recommend it.
