I have recently added a small set of DeWalt battery tools to my trunk cargo bay, that I think may really help out in an emergency. This was the last piece I needed. I purchased on of those "jump boxes" years ago, and charge it regularly. I would toss it in the back when I went off-road or on a long trip. I never needed it until recently. When I went to use it, I only got one good crank out of the engine before the unit was dead, and needed to be recharged. The whole issue is battery life and trying to keep them always charged. The DeWalt battery is a much better option. I am always adding new batteries and keep them charged. Now, when I go on a trip I just bring a fully charged battery. With the tools, I have a power bank, spot light and now this jumper. When all you need is a little kick to get the engine going the DeWalt battery should do the job. I will always also carry jumper cables, but if there is nobody around, this might be a life-saver.

Love this invention. Now I can use my power tool lithium ion battery to jump start my car if/when my battery dies. I actually used my dewalt power tool battery to jump start my car one time, 5 years ago, when I was camping & got stranded by myself. Had spare change, 12 volt max battery, & jumper cables. Just wedged in 2 pennies, one for + and one for - slots on power-tool battery, then connected with my jumper cables to my dead car battery… and it actually worked! But this product is so much better and well made. Tested with a multimeter and this product works excellently. Highly reccomend.

If you have 20V Dewalt tools around the house this is a no brain er. The item consists of an adapter for your 20V battery and jumper cables at the end of a 3 foot cord. The cable ends in clips colored red and black and can be used to boost a dead or low battery such that you can get on the road again. While not a good substitute for jump starting car to car or with a dedicated jumper booster it is an excellent piece to have along with your other Dewalt tools. I used it to start my generator which had a really or bad battery and it did just fine getting it started and running very quickly

I was skeptical but this really works. I don't think it would start a car with a fully drained or defective battery but it works great with one where the battery is low. I have some project cars that don't get driven much and this is a very easy solution when I need to give one an assist to start. It's well made - the battery fits easily and locks into place securely. The cables themselves have a sleeve to keep everything neat but leave plenty of separation of the clamps so you can reach a good ground. All in all, a surprising and nice product!

There is NO COPPER in these, AT ALL. It's ALL aluminium wire. Look at the sloppy solder job I exposed and the cable I cut into showing it's just really bad stranded aluminium. If those solder joints in the top ever fail or get water bridging them, that can cause a huge amount of problems for your car too. They couldn't even be bothered to epoxy over them or add a plastic divider in case they ever come loose. Nor could they be bothered to so much as add a five cent diode to help ensure you get the polarity right.Again, at the end of the day, this is a complete lie about the wire awg as well as it being copper.
