My wife purchases me these PEI pattern beds as gifts for my Ankermake M5 and my Bambu Labs X1C 3d printers.The bed arrived quickly and packaged safely in a firm cardboard cover inside a cardboard box to ensure no bending during delivery.Because it is so simple and convenient I tend to swap my beds out almost per print. I use these diffraction grated (patterned) beds for the cool looking effect on certain prints. These beds work great with PLA and TPU. These beds do not work great with PETG because the higher temps and this can damage the thin diffraction pattern over time. My Ankermake M5 has to (auto) bed-level by pushing the nozzle into the bed and when using temps above 220c this can leave permanent marks on these type of beds. For touchless bed sensors this is not an issue.I would definitely recommend this to others!

The patterns show up nicely so long as the plate is clean. I didn't have adhesion problems printing with PLA.

I love this refractive plate. Coming from a Prusa Mk3 where I never had any build plate issues, the Bambu is strangely difficult with their stock build plates. Prints stick like crazy. I have one of these refractive plates on my Prusa and it is a DREAM, so I figured it would also work in my Bambu. Yep. It functions so much better than the stock plate. Prints are perfect and release with the slightly touch.

Smaller items sometimes don't seem to want to stick. I've tried adjusting settings, but swapping out another smooth plate from a different company seems to fix it. I use this as the main plate for the letter and number design, but when it doesn't work even after cleaning I just swap out to one of my other plates.

I don’t know exactly how it does it, but the number and letters will imprint into your prints. My kids love the look.

The design looks really cool, especially when printed with a dark color. However, the bed adhesion is spotty at best. Reducing the initial layer speed helped, but it doesn't work well for prints with small areas of the first layer. It is recommended for prints that are low on first layer details.
