It's good for one small rat. The flips open so you will need to use other things to him it up. The rest is nice.

It's a very cute and good quality basket! Big enough that 2 of my ratties can snuggle up in it no problem! The only frustrating part is the metal clasps! They aren't the easiest things to open and close up.

I recently ordered the JWShang Extra Large Rat Hammock for my pet rats, and I must say, it's really great.
