Best darn money I ever spent!! It has a wire for everything, and each wire being labeled makes it so easy. I used it for a basic hot rod setup in my 48 Plymouth with Chevy 350 swap. I have a GM tilt column and this harness LITERALLY plugs right in to it. Start off by finding the wires for your ignition and mount it close to where those wires are going to be hooked up. I put mine on the driver side kick panel down on the left floor area.

If you have done Painless or Kwikwire harness installs- buy this. If it's your first time- the directions aren't the best for beginners. I'll buy this harness every time from now on. The price is the main reason but the wire quality is good and the length is great. The only downside is the wire id printing on the wire itself is hard to read. Get a magnifying glass and you're good. BUY IT.

I installed this 21 circuit universal wiring kit to supplement my engine/tranny swap in my 1954 chevy pickup.ProsEach wire passed my continuity test. Each wire is print labeledThe wires are pre bundled into front, engine bay, dash and tail sections.Good qualityGreat priceProduct as describedWire lengths acceptable for my useConsInstructions are vague, but just follow Painless instructionsPrinted wire label text color is difficult to see without lots of light, but manageableOnly two wires were in the wrong bundled sectionSuggestionsLabel the end of each wire with the wire number and the name. I used our label maker.Make a master list of wire number, color and name. Laminate the list when finished.Test the continuity of each wire, for obvious reasons. Also, This process will give you a better understanding of the wiring.

Product is neatly identified and fuse panel is compact neat. Wires are easily identified, have all correct relays and fuses for load center. Does not have a panel cover, so may to mount somewhere where it can hidden with upholstery

Purchased this on an AZ day at a great price, but after taking a look at it, the only question I have is, what is the quality of the insulation? The copper looks good, wire gauge sizes look correct for the load applied to each circuit and the fuse box looks very traditional for what an older vehicle needs. I tried to contact the seller with a simple question " Is this harness classified as a de-composable, If so what is the decay rate in years" I GOT NO RESPONSE. I have wired a lot of vehicles, and I am building an elaborate harness for this project, and I don't want to do this again in 10 years or so. I did keep the harness for the fuse box, and my fix was: I purchased a basic painless 8 fuse kit (#10102) for $240 un-pinned both fuse boxes transferred the JY box over to the painless harness, split several circuits and added as needed. This may sound like overkill, but I know painless uses a top quality TXL wire that lasts 30 years + and I used Southwire TXL wire to fill in my add on circuits. My end result is with a little work I still have less money in this harness then purchasing a high quality pre made harness and its done my way. So you decide.

This kit is very nice, the labels on the wire are easy to read and about every 6 inches its entire length. I have a photo of a name brand Harness and the JY Performance Harness fuse block. The only difference is the J Y does not use fuses labeled with the volts. The instructions are clear and written by a native speaker.

Couldn't be happier with this kit. Used it to replace the entire harness in my 1966 C10 pickup. I've used Painless in the past and at nearly a fifth of the price, this kit is well worth the money. I'll be buying more of them for my projects. There were a few wires where the identifying text was hard to read, but with a little persistence you'll figure it out.

I've rewired several cars (mostly restorations with a couple of custom projects), so I figured I'd be able to figure this harness out. Well, after several hours of reading the manual booklet, and several more hours looking at the harness while scratching my head, I've determined this harness to be practically worthless. The instructions are nonsense. The fuses are mis-labeled. The wires aren't labeled, etc.If your time is worth anything at all, do yourself a HUGE favor and grab a harness that at least has a a set of instructions that actually make sense.
