I think this toy is great for puppies. It makes them think through how to unlock treats. I’m glad I made this purchase. It entertains him for about 10 to 15 minutes! Yeah!

I hate that it’s plastic because I hate plastic things- but my girl is 14 and I got this for her birthday. She stays occupied and mentally stimulated. It’s a bit of a challenge so I wouldn’t start a dog on this if they’ve never done a brain game before. But you can make it easier by leaving the little top doors open a bit and starting with just using the side caches. Storing it is a little bit cumbersome since it’s on the larger side, but I just stick it in the dogfood bin I have. Washing it is tedious because I don’t have a dishwasher, but if you have one it should be no problem. Since it keeps my girl happy and using her noggin that’s the most important part for me. She isn’t a chewer (anymore) so I’m not sure how this would stand up to a strong jawed breed if they get frustrated. It’s hard plastic with parts that can easily be broken if chewed by a young pup. Otherwise it’s safe, I leave my 14 year old home alone with it if I have to go out. A bit pricy, but it’s made well so I’m hoping I have it for a long time.

As a dedicated dog owner always on the lookout for ways to keep my furry friend mentally stimulated, I recently purchased the KADTC Dog Puzzle Toys Level 4. This interactive puzzle toy is designed for advanced canine thinkers, and I must say, it certainly delivers on its promise of providing a challenging and engaging experience for dogs.**Design and Functionality:**The construction of this puzzle toy is impressive. Made from durable materials, it can withstand the enthusiastic efforts of even the most determined pups. The four different puzzle mechanisms require a variety of skills, from sliding to flipping, which ensures that my dog is constantly challenged and engaged. The complexity of the puzzles is ideal for smart dogs who have already mastered simpler toys, making it a worthy investment.**Mental Stimulation:**One of the standout features is the mental stimulation it provides. My dog, a Staffordshire terrier, thrives on challenges, and this toy has become a favorite. The combination of problem-solving and the reward of treats keeps her engaged for extended periods. I’ve noticed a positive change in her overall behavior, as the mental exercise helps alleviate boredom and reduces anxiety.**Self-Play and Slow Feeding:**Another fantastic aspect is its versatility as a slow feeder. I can fill the compartments with her kibble or treats, turning mealtime into an exciting game. This not only slows down her eating but also keeps her busy and entertained. It’s a great way to combine feeding time with playtime!**Room for Improvement:**While the KADTC Dog Puzzle Toy is excellent overall, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. The complexity might be a bit too advanced for some dogs, especially if they haven’t been exposed to puzzle toys before. It took a few sessions for my dog to fully grasp the mechanics, which could be a bit frustrating for less experienced pups. Additionally, the toy requires some supervision during playtime to ensure that no pieces get lost or damaged.**Conclusion:**Overall, I would highly recommend the KADTC Dog Puzzle Toys Level 4 for owners of clever canines looking to enrich their pets' lives. It provides a fantastic blend of fun and challenge, making it an effective tool for mental stimulation and boredom relief. With just a few adjustments to the complexity for beginners, this toy can be a staple in any smart dog's toy collection. A solid four stars for creativity, durability, and engagement! ðŸ¾

Our dog really loves this puzzle. He gets very excited when he sees me filling it up it is challenging, but not to difficult to figure out.

I’ve had the feeder for a couple of months and it definitely keeps my dog occupied and busy but the only thing I don’t like is the feeding gauges they start to close when they continuously press the button and stops the feeding

Some folks have talked about it sliding. We used the provided sticky pads, and it's on a hardwood floor, so it doesn't move. We keep it in the same spot for now, and just wipe it down. Our puppy doesn't drool much, so there isn't as much mess as a dog who drools a lot.We have a maltipoo, and initially he was scared of the lids on the outer boxes. So he didn't want to open them - so if you have a timid dog, maybe don't use the outer boxes at first. However, after about a week or so, he was brave enough to open them and now he could care less about the noise. The top part - only complaint - the slide lids can be difficult to open for smaller dogs (as they tend to stick). But now that just adds to the challenge, so it's not really a big deal.I was very surprised (and no this isn't a my dog is brilliant review) at how fast he figured out the slide the pieces to the hole, get the food. Straightaway he figured that out.We have 3 puzzle toys, and his big treat is to be allowed to get treats from all 3. We don't put a lot of food in (some people say this is one way to slow a dog down from eating too fast), but our dog eats wet food, so this is more of a treat, usually somewhere in the day or a bit of time after a meal, just for fun. Like one or two small kibbles per hole. It's just as fun for him as if it was loaded up (we are also watching the amounts that he eats, again he is very small, less than 5 pounds).Overall, he loves this and despite being small, holding him back while putting food in, can be a challenge as the omen gets into him and he always does this one first, so far it is his favorite out of the 3. Great product, and while I am not sure this made him smarter (as he is a puppy so ... yeah ...) it was really fun to see him figure it out and overcome his fear of it making noises he wasn't used to.

We got this puzzle to help our English Bulldog cope with the loss of our other dog. She absolutely loves it! Even with her flat face, she’s able to open up the doors to get her kibble out. It keeps her busy for a long time. I’d highly recommend this puzzle.

[PROS] ðŸ‘✔Set-up is quick, initially I cleaned the dog puzzle (due to factory residue with any new product you buy) and thereafter placed dog food into the compartments for our family dog✔Within 15 minutes, our dog was able to figure out the compartments to withdraw food, during the learning process our dog was extremely excited✔This provides consistent brain exercises for our dog, I also appreciate the plastic chosen for production is certified safe[CONS] 👎✘During activities, I noticed some of the components are a little challenging to open due to excessive firmness on the doors, this wouldn't be an issue for a medium/large dog, but our smaller family dog requires multiple rounds of effort[PRODUCT EXPERIENCE] ★ ★ ★ ★👉The KADTC Dog Puzzle is currently priced as $49.90 at the time of this review. If you're looking to spice up feeding time into an exciting activity for your best, the dog puzzle works wonderfully in delivering this experience.

I got this to give my 9 month old dog some variety in how he eats. He's a fast eater and I vary feeding him with different techniques. This replaced his kong which he empties in less than a minute. I like how there are several ways to adjust the holes depending on kibble size. It seems durable and easy to open and close for a human. It makes a strange noise when it rolls. I can't describe it... like a really ill duck lol. It's not a squeak.. he loves it. I'm more interested in it challenging and stimulating my dog so I don't mind the sounds. It took my dog about 4 feedings until he figured it out. Initially I would have to push it with my foot. Once I realized to open both sides, the kibble would spill out on either side of the toy, encouraging him to nudge it with his nose to get the treat on alternating sides. Once he gets the hang of it I'll try just opening one side to make it more challenging. The sound isn't as annoying as I initially thought because he only nudges it enough to spill the treat, so it's one quack with breaks while he eats. Way less noisy than a squeaky chew toy that is constant. This is durable and relatively easy to clean, but it's not a chew toy. Don't leave it with your dog who is an aggressive chewer once they are done emptying it. The little dials that control the holes can be chewed and broken. It's really fun to watch them figure it out and get the hang of it. Give them a few days, your dog might not get it at first, but like I said, if your dog doesn't nudge it enough to spoil the kibble, try opening both sides so he/she will accidentally be nudging it from both sides trying to get the kibble that is on either side. After a few days your dog should understand the concept of rolling it to get the reward and you can adjust it to make it more challenging.

Our pup is smarter than your average bear which can be both a blessing a curse. Great when trying to train her new commands but if you drop a bowl of kibble on the floor at dinner time, she occasionally turns her nose up and won't eat it all.HOWEVER, make dinner a game and she's very interested and this puzzle toy is exactly that. She picks up on the fact there's food in it by smell and then starts nudging the sliding panels to expose the little basins underneath. The flip lids on the outside stay "locked" down until a slider is moved out of the way of the tab and she's already starting to learn that she needs to move those aside before flipping the lids open. (we'd suggest starting with everything open and the food exposed so your dog sees what they need to do)We appreciate that the game can be used in simple or more complex modes: you don't have to lock the lids with the sliders but can simply flip closed and they stay closed until tapped. This makes it a "one stage unlock". Once your dog figures that out, move on to hiding treats under the sliders and having them expose those. After mastering all that, make it a two-stage unlock with the only treats under the flip tops, so they have to both slide panels and flip tops to get their kibble.Top marks, highly recommended.
