I have a beagle who just inhales her food. We have many snuffle mats and puzzles so that she does not eat too fast (when she eats too fast, she often just throws up). I love this puzzle for her. First time we used it, it actually took her a few minutes to figure it out! Now she knows exactly how to work it, but because of the design of the puzzle and the ability to change the size of the openings through which the kibble is distributed, it still takes her a while to finish a meal. It is very easy to fill and easy to clean. It is very well made-the rotor part secures into the puzzle with knobs so it doesn’t come out while the dog is using it. If your dog is fairly smart and food motivated, this is for you!

Difficult puzzle which I like. Its taking mine quite a while to figure out fully how it works. The only con is that it should have a suction option at the bottom or some method to keep it in one place. I constantly have to stop my dogs from flipping it over which hinders the puzzle training giving a negative reaction. One completely won't do the puzzle now unless I continuously say paw bc he thinks he's doing something wrong😕.

Product works in every way advertised. I bought 3 of them for a 7 year old Border Collie, a 4 year old Border Collie, and an 4 month old Boxer Puppy. We use them for all feeding times. They all figured it out. Plenty of space for their food. Adjustable to increase feeding time. Not too loud. Not too large. Easy to clean. Durable. It just works. Smaller than other brand feeders that take up way more space and are more of a hassle. I love these things. It inspired me to buy more KADTC puzzles. Thank you so much! Makes me feel happier that my dogs have more activities like this.

I have small dogs and they couldn’t move the spinning mechanism. Gave to a larger dog that’s obsessed with it!

At least for my GSD/Boxer girl, it was too easy with the slots opened all the way up and too hard when they were closed much of the way down. She quickly came to mostly ignore it. It is sturdy, easy to clean, and a good value for the money. It just didn't keep my kid's interest.

My dog loves puzzle and this was her newest one. It took her a bit to figure it out, and once she did she tends to grab it and bring it to me when it is time to eat. She loves working on them and has three so far to her name - she isn't spoiled or anything.

This product is advertised for Medium to Small dogs, I definitely can see why now. I tried this food puzzle toy on my large dog, there were difficulties with opening the small panels for the treat/food with a large snout. Also if your dog is tall, you may need to stand the toy on a stool or something to help your dog reach. Although my dog was too big for this food puzzle dispenser, it is still a very good product. I was impressed with how sturdy and well built it is. There’s also a note regarding the adjustable red panels on the middle tumbler which are quite stiff, but are purposely done so, as explained on the label. It took my dog a few tries to get the hang of searching for food in the flap panels. My dog is still not comfortable with turning the middle tumbler herself, seems a bit afraid, I think with a few more training sessions she’ll get the hang of it. So please don’t get this product and assume your dog will know what to do. Best that you provide guidance and of course supervise your dog when they’re using this puzzle feeder.I highly recommend this product for medium/small dog owners, I think that this product would definitely be beneficial for dogs that need more enrichment during their meal times, or perhaps you want them to eat slower. This toy provides both those functions, was easy to clean, and simple to use given the instructions. The side knobs help to secure the tumbler in place and prevent any dislodging of the middle piece. The red panel windows are adjustable to change the difficulty level for your dog as well. I think that given the price, quality of this product and its functions, its value is very good. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Great to keep your dog distracted, my dog was able to get through all 3 levels in a decent amount of time, so I've been continuously using it when I leave the house to run errands and I come home to a lazy sleeping pup most of the time.

I picked this up for our 16 week old Pug puppy. I realize this probably wasn't designed with his breed in mind, but he is very food motivated and enjoys puzzles so I thought this would be right up his alley. He does enjoy it, but it isn't a perfect toy for him specifically, for a couple of reasons. The most major reason is the six little doors that need to be lifted up to get at the "treats" or in our dogs case, his kibble. Being a Pug he doesn't have a snout per se, which made manoeuvring those doors very difficult for him. He figured out what he needed to do quite quickly, but without a protruding nose to nudge the doors up he couldn't do it easily if at all so he became frustrated very quickly. Because of this we chose to remove those doors altogether- not ideal, but it solved that problem. The second issue is the center canister, where you put the food into. For whatever reason ours is really stiff, meaning it doesn't rotate easily. We often have to help him rotate it simply because he isn't heavy or strong enough to make it turn on his own. I cannot imagine it is meant to be so difficult so I am thinking we may have gotten a dud? My husband and I have both looked it over to see if we can figure out why it tends to stick so much, but unfortunately we haven't found the cause. Despite those complaints, our little guy does seem to enjoy playing with this thing. We basically use it in place of our slow feeder full time now because of how much he seems to like using it. Bottom line? For the right dog I think this would be great, whether used as a slow feeder or just as something to keep them entertained for a while.

I am very impressed with the durability of this item! I have a 6-year-old dog that is very gentle with toys, and my friend has a 4-month-old border collie who is rough, rambunctious, and smart! I tested this with both and this toy goes the distance! This is the most mentally challenging puzzle that the dogs have tried to date and while it took my dog a long time to figure it out, the little border collie caught on fairly quickly. Even with her rough handling of this, the toy shows no damage or wear and is still a wonderful toy to play with. She even plays with it when it's empty as she seems to marvel at the way that the little flaps open! The ability to take the tumbler apart from the toy to be able to clean it makes it a much safer option than some others I've tried as you can be sure there are no leftover bits of food that could cause bacteria. It's easy to clean and put back together after. I also really like that it can be made fairly simple or more complicated. My dog much prefers the simpler option as she doesn't have the patience to figure out the more complex puzzles. She will get bored and stop trying. The puppy will play and play and play until she figures it out. It's very fun to watch the two different personalities both enjoying the same toy. I highly recommend it.

This toy is a lot more bigger than I thought it would be since the description says its for medium/small dogs. My dog is under 9lbs and this toy drawfs her. But, I also wouldn't say this toy is for bigger dogs unless they have a smaller snout. How this toy works is that you take the center rolling tube out and fill it with your dog's kibbles or treats and then slide open the red slides to the desired difficulty level. What your dog is then supposed to do is roll the center piece until the treats/kibble falls out and into six side openings, and then your dog is supposed to figure out they need to flip open those little six slots to get their treat. The center roller determines the difficulty as you can open the slots wider or not. I had to play with it and show my dog how to play before she could figure it out, afterwards it was hours of fun. I wouldn't use kibble unless your dog loves their kibble and will finish every bit, otherwise if the dog abandons it halfway it's a bit of a headache to clean since you have to disassemble some parts to reach all the corners. I would say this works best with a dry treat that will keep them motivated to keep searching.
