This is a great slow-feed bowl and the dog and I both like it. It is a little pricey, but I indulge my pup to keep both of us entertained. The depth works for my big boy, but I keep the food away from the center pole on the bottom layer. I put it in the dishwasher, with the fins of the insert perpendicular to the rack so it drains. It is easy to use and it is one of my favorite dinner bowls with both large and small kibble. It seems fairly indestructible.

This slow feeder is perfect for my dog. It functions as expected and helps slow my dogs eating down. This bowl is a great size, i can add toppers and not run out of room. Bowl has grips on bottom so it is super stable even on hardwood floors.

Our puppy is like a cartoon when she eats, just absolutely frantic, kibble flying everywhere. And our older dog takes more than 10 minutes to eat the same amount, so getting the puppy to eat as slow as our older dog was a challenge. We had been using food balls for her, but it mucked up the floors and baseboards and I really wanted a bowl. This was perfect, it's deep so she has to work for the food, and the spinning top slows her down too. She's finishing her food after the older pup!! You can also take all the pieces apart for easy washing.

My Doberman only eats meals from interactive feeders. This is easy for her to do, but slows her down just enough and makes her think a little too. I like the bone spinner on the top that can be put facing up or down depending on how easy to make it and gives a little variety too. The silicone mat is top shelf dishwasher safe, which is nice. The bowl itself is well made and sturdy, where as the bottom has pads that prevent sliding. The only down side is that the silicone groves come to points at the ends. This wouldn't be an issue in most cases, but for large breed size food, the pieces sometimes will get wedged in those spots. The results in my girl being unable to get the last piece or two. I help dig the stuck pieces out, but can be a problem if I'm multitasking while she's eating as she does not give up, despite it being an impossible task once stuck.

Our girl can speed-eat her way out of any maze bowl, no matter the pattern, with almost no effort. This is the only thing we’ve been able to find that works.8-10 minutes don’t seem like a long time, but when she usually finishes in 90 seconds, it’s freakin’ miracle!Also, we feed her a mix of fresh & wet food, so I can attest that it slows her down with both types of food equally.On top of that, it cleans like a dream.Run, don’t walk. Worth every penny.

When I tell you, I have searched high and low for a slow feeder that’ll actually hold 4 cups of food and slow down my lab at the same time. If you have a large dog that eats a lot and you want them to slow down, THIS IS IT. I cannot talk more highly of this slow feeder! 100/10! It’s very sturdy, appealing, large and worth the money! I was so excited when I got it and saw it in person, it’s exactly as described and it slows my lab down so he takes about 10-12 minutes to fully eat. It also said on the box that it was environmentally friendly which is an added benefit for me. Get it!

Highly recommend this bowl to anyone looking to slow down their pup’s eating. Our 6 month old puppy was making herself sick from eating too quickly. We tried other “slow feeder†bowls but she would still have her food ate in 2-5 minutes. Her eating time with this bowl averages around 15-20 minutes now.
