It works well for working on electronics. Good quality, large size and has held up well. Only downfall is the lids don’t stay closed on the compartments so beware of that. Otherwise great mat.

This silicone mat is very heavy duty. It's nice and thick and I feel confident that I could leave my soldering iron on the mat and not melt it though I would not recommend doing that. I bought this to use while soldering as I was ruining an old wooden table, but now I can solder on any table and not worry about harming it. The solder also doesn't stick to the mat and is easily brushed/wiped off when you're done.The mat also has little parts compartments and screw holders that will be nice when disassembling computers and other electronics to keep track of all of those tiny screws. Overall I was surprised with just how thick and durable this mat is and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for one.

Was looking for a good mat to use while soldering. This one is great for home use.I like that it has magnets to hold certain components. I like that it has many small areas to organize your work, great when more components of varying values come about.I noticed that in Cases where the tip gets near the mat, that the mat is able to hold up well with no visible damage.I also like that the color has a good contrast with the components being worked on, making it easier to keep things in sight.Overall these are a good value and a must have for anyone doing small scale soldering.

I'm a ham radio operator and electronic hobbyist and do a lot of soldering. I've used numerous surfaces, mostly plywood scrap, or stone or tile slap. They worked but had its drawbacks. Tried this. Wish I had found it a long time ago. parts stay pub, easy to clean. wears great, doesn't slide around on work table. Excellent all the way!

Ya it costs a few bucks, but it's a super handy addition if you are doing any repair work. The slots keep your parts organized, and in place. You get what you pay for.

Lo uso para realizar reparaciones de equipos de computo, buen tamaño y con compartimientos adecuados.Los materiales son robustos y se notan de calidad.Como nota de precaución, tener cuidado donde colocan elementos electronicos como microprocesadores, etc, pues el tapete tiene compartimientos magnetizados especialmente diseñados para colocar tornilleria.Lo recomiendo.
