Before purchasing I looked at the one star reviews. Theyre usually one star because they don't fit the Black & Decker they're supposed to fit. I'm here to say that it fits my Black & Decker ST 4500 perfectly. This is such an incredible deal i can't believe. I accidentally ordered 2 packages and I'm very happy now I have 20!Here's one word of warning, though before you just assume that it's gonna fit your weed eater, go out and try it. If it doesn't fit return it sometimes they fit sometimes they don't. Fortunately. I got 20 and they all fit.

Has everything you need to update you week Wacker. You can't buy the string alone for this price . I will never buy string again , instread I will buy a pack of this which will last all season

Arrived as expected. I purchased these replacement spools because of the price and quantity you get. I like that it came with 10 spools, plus two springs and two caps for a very reasonable price compared to what you get from other vendors.I own an old electric Black & Decker ST4000 Type 3 weed eater/ edger. These spools fit my weed eater. I like that these are pre wound with the right size trim line. Definitely cheaper than the B&D spools.Similar to other reviews my complaint is that the line will not feed when bumped on the ground; however, I'm not sure if it's the spool, the spring or my old weed eater. I've had this issue with other brands of spools even the Black & Decker spools. In addition the new cap fits really tight so it's hard to remove so I ended up using my old cap and will use the new caps only if absolutely necessary. The springs look similar to previous springs I've used for this weed eater.These spools came in a plastic Ziploc bag and were wound properly and line secured in the slots on the spool edge so not taped down like other brands.

I can't handle a big edger but my small one is obsolete and hard to get line for. These are a great deal and easy to replace!

Does it fit? Well sorta. It fits, the lids work, the springs work but it's such a tight fit that you can't unreel the line when you need to. You have to take it apart to advance the line. That wouldn't in itself be a big problem EXCEPT that the line breaks every few minutes. Pain in my......so I rewound it to my orginal pieces. Works great EXCEPT the line keeps breaking. Cheap, cheap cheap line. Find something else.

As mentioned by many others there are some slight issues. A "milling" bit or similar tool seems to bore these out to a useable state. Otherwise they are too tight on the shaft to function as bump-advance for the string. Bought these anyway as I need the springs and caps. Springs are different than OEM setup but work OK. Easy "fix" if mechanically inclined but caveat emptor applies.
