bought to catch western diamondbacks around the house and so far its worked well. I've caught 6 this year from new born up to just over 6 feet. if anything i dislike it might be the coating because it feels like i have to squeeze tighter to hold them

Saw a rather large rattle snake and ran for the snake catcher-stick. I caught it rather easily but made the mistake of using the handle ‘lock’ which opened the claw enough for the snake to get loose. He was VERY angry after getting loose but I caught him again and managed to take it far enough away to be safe for every.

We bought it to catch snakes. We have quiet a few in our area. My hubby checked it when it came in. Later we moved everything in our barn and found when we moved this it didn't work! Total waste of money!

I ordered this device for during warm weather rattlesnakes are out and in my patio. The day I used it to remove a rattlesnake snake off my patio and back onto a trail on the other side of my property this device broke causing the rattlesnake to rattle and not wanting to get bit I ended up killing it with a shovel.Do not waste your money for this poorly designed device.

We live in an area with rattle snakes. And I hope we don't ever need to use this but it was recommended by a friend who has used it to catch quit a few snakes already this year.
