I just used if for the first time and worked wonderfully. Nos sure how much weight it will support but the 2 ft snake I encountered this weekend was very safe in here - as was I.

It does the job, but when fully extended it may rotate and tightening it may break it due to the thinness of the telescoping parts. It's ok for the price, but if you have a serious need for one of these and will use it on a regular basis, I would recommend getting one with a longer (solid piece) handle. Again.. not bad for the price.

The net could be a little stronger. And if it's a big snake, you need a different kind of net. Also, you will need a bucket with a tight lid to put it in once you catch it.

Byers beware .We have alot of Copperhead snakes where we live in the South East.We purchased this in May , so that we would be ready for copperhead season in the summer . We used for the first time and the net broke off .This Could have resulted in copperhead snake bite .The arm of the pole actually broke in half while using it for the first time . Very dangerous and cheaply made .I complained to Amazon , but they said they would NOT refund our money .I would only purchase equpment of this type from a repuable company , in person or small business that stands by thier product . We could have been seriously harmed in this matter . We give this a 0 star rating .

It’s like a superhero butterfly net because you can catch a snake in it or lizard. Those things got claws. (The lizards. Not the snakes. )I think it’s great.
