i’ve been using prismacolor for years now, figuring that i can only get good quality work from good quality pencils. i’ve been gifted cheap art supplies sets before and i was hoping these pencils wouldn’t be garbage, they’re actually good for the price! i enjoy the smoothness of these pencils. some are patchy and hard to blend, but i blame the specific pigments more than anything. overall, i think this set is great and i will definitely come back to Kalour when i need replacements. i’d love the ability to buy individuals of my favorite colorsThe only reason that I would give it a lesser rating is due to how soft the pencils are. This allows me to blend the colors together beautifully, but the lead breaks easily and the pencils need to be sharpened often

I’m new to colored pencils but I’ve purchased many sets of varying types. The Kalour package with the lady sitting are some of my favorite. I purchased Prismacolors at the same time and I have found the Kalour to blend more easily and their pigments to be just as rich and vivid. I am giving them 5 stars because of the value and their ease of blending. However there are a couple things I want to mention. First, the fluorescent colors are not of high quality. Their color is inconsistent and the pigment separates if you look closely. Even on smooth paper there’s no saturation; the color moves around on the paper. Second, the names are terrible- ranging from the non-PC color of “nude†as a pale white person to color names that do not match the actual color. These are annoying but with good swatching the names don’t matter as much. If you’re a beginner like me and haven’t fully learned all the techniques, I think this is a great set where you can: practice blending but don’t need to rely on it, be rough on the pencil tips to learn pressure and sharpening preferences, and have fun without too much guilt on the price.

Just imagine any color? I’m sure it’s in here or the ability to make that color! I love this set! The only problem I have is the shelf system. You will definitely need space to go through the colors or if your doing a project, I pick out my colors and put them on the to shelf and your good to go!! They are easy to use and blend. I even use them in my Bible! I use them to highlight. They’re soft enough to do that without tearing anything up.

I am completely amazed with these pencils. I have Prisma, Holbein, Polychromos, CaranDache and Derwent pencils and let me tell you these pencils are my favorite! Yes they can break when sharpening but so do Prismas and Holbeins. That being said, there is nothing worse than high price pencils breaking and breaking and breaking. These pencils layer FOREVER and blend beautifully. They work very well on just about every type of paper I have used them on. There is a huge selection of every shade of color you could ever need. I seriously don’t think I will ever by another brand of pencil because there is absolutely nothing lacking with Kalour pencils. GET THEM and you too will be wonderfully surprised.

My only problem is that amazon sent me the 72 macron pencil set instead of this set. But i liked it alot i didn't sent it back. However i didn't get what i ordered originally so there goes a star

I just finished colouring all the swatches on the card provided. I am impressed with the smooth and rich colour of most of the pencils. The swatch card has very smooth paper, so when some of them seemed a bit "weak" I tested them on paper with more tooth and they were wonderful. The variety of colours is fantastic, except I wish there were more gray pencils, as I use those up quite quickly. I didn't find the blending spectacular, but I mostly lay down flat areas of juxtaposed colour so it won't affect my work too much. The metallic colours are a pleasant surprise. I don't usually use metallics, but the colours of these are very pretty. For the price, these can't be beaten. I have been a loyal Prismacolour customer for years, and I will probably still buy replacements for colours I use most often as you can purchase open stock, but these will be a fantastic complement to the Prismacolour palette.All pencils came unbroken, with centred leads and an unblemished tin. I pressed quite hard for my swatch tests and none of the leads broke.

Das sind so tolle Stifte... Ich hab lange gesucht nach Buntstiften die mal nicht abbrechen beim anspitzen und schön weich malen ... das ist hier der Fall sie halten was sie versprechen würde ich immer wieder kaufen!
