It has proven to be quite effective for its primary use with fabric. The tool and fasteners worked seamlessly together, making the process of installing snaps on fabric straightforward and hassle-free.However, I encountered some challenges when using the tool with 2mm thick leather. The snap fasteners did not easily penetrate the leather on their own, and would bend and not lock into the other side when using the crimping tool. To get the tool to work effectively, I had to first hammer the fasteners into the leather to create an initial indentation before using the crimp tool. This extra step was necessary to ensure that the snaps were properly set and secure.While the tool performs well for fabric applications, those looking to use it with thicker materials like leather should be prepared for some additional manual preparation. Despite this, the overall quality of the tool and its effectiveness with fabric make it a good addition to my toolkit, especially for lighter and more straightforward projects.

Snaps are easy to apply, however the tool could use longer handle to get better leverage so snaps will stay on. I found it necessary to use additional tools.

These do the job. The snaps are very tight, and if you don't attach them just right, they could snap off of the fabric. Luckily there's 200 of them so it's an easy fix.

If you're looking for something to install snaps this is the one, I tried other things and they are too hard to figure out but this is super simple and it works great!!

The snaps are not very retentive and release while wearing the garment. Wardrobe failure alert.

the prongs are so small that they only work on one Layer of thin fabric. useless for me, sadly.

The best purchase of 2024.I put them in the neck of the baby bodysuits and they now last longer. (I buy those that are bigger size!). I also put them in the tote bag so now it can close.Diligence and attention are required to put them in but it is very doable and the instructions are clear. The quality could have been better but it’s ok. The studs are slightly sicker than I would prefer. When I put both sockets in with this tool, I close them and hammer with a toy hammer to ensure they are pressed well enough.Overall it is a fantastic tool for this price (£9) and I'm still amazed that I can install these buttons all by myself!!!
