This seat has tons of padding, and a very stiff back. The straps are a little high compared to kayak seats but are on par with SUP seat connections. It has a decent amount of grip on the bottom so it won't slip when sitting on it, if you stand up though it allows the bottom to slide out from under the straps since they're both so high. So be careful that it's where you want it before setting down. The straps are easy to adjust and hold where you leave them, they also have great easy to use clips on the end. I have no complaints and it makes a great kayak/SUP seat!

Using this on a sit on top kayak. It is a definite upgrade to the seats i had and didnt realize that kayaking could actually be this comfortable. I had just gotten used to the thin seats and this makes a big difference, especially on the back. both the seat and the back rest are well cushioned. The buckle used to attach it to the kayak and the straps are made as well as any other seat ive used and I see no issues with them. I was especially pleased with the bag it came with. It has a nylon bag that attaches niceley to the back of the seat, mo more placing my back on the kayak deck to get wet. It also comes with some little pads you can attach to your kayak and the bottom of the seat to prevent it from sliding. I didnt use them and had no problems with the seat sliding. The lumbar cushioning for my back alone is what makes this seat a winner. No issues getting it to sit tight on the kayak and keeping it tight.

This kayak seat gave us the flexibility to turn our large SUP into a kayak for longer voyages, adding versatility to one of our favorite water sports purchases. The padded seat attaches to the hold downs on our SUP and the adjustable straps made it so that the seat was fairly comfortable with good lumbar support once installed. It did work a little better for my fiancee who is smaller than for me, but it's much better than no seat at all even for me. The padding is also nice when taking longer voyages out on our new SUPyak.

This is a significant upgrade in comfort to the seat that came with my Hobie outback kayak. There's quite a bit more padding in the seat and the back. The back is much stiffer than the standard seat. This allows you more leverage for pedaling. The only negative I find with this seat is that it does not have adjustable buckles on the forward anchor points. Often the straps will loosen up and you need to be able to grab the tag end of the strap and tighten it. These straps have sliders for a more one time adjustment. I might replace these to make the seat more user friendly. All metal hardware throughout which is nice since I have already broken the plastic hardware on both of the straps of my old Hobie seats.

It is too cold to hit the water, but I attached this to my kayak and sat on it. It is comfortable, stable, and overall, better than I expected. Kayaking has always hurt my lower back, so I am very excited to give this a try on the water in the spring. It is very well made, and it was not difficult to get set up.

The front straps are uneven when completely shortened, causing the seat to be crooked. They are also positioned too high on the back so when you hring them around, they are in the way when paddling. Both the back and bottom are super stiff. Really bad design for kayak. Do not recommend.Haven't even used it yet. Missed return window by 3 days.

Well made and easy to install. This was a nice addition that basically turned our SUP into a kayak. Helps us get more enjoyment on the water when the waves are enough to not want to stand up.
