This rack is the perfect solution for storing my 4 kayaks in my garage. It was easy to assemble & my four 12 ft kayaks fit securely on the rack. The rack is very sturdy.

First, the packaging was compact and minimal, for the amount of parts it contained (first picture). I'm an older 5'7" woman and assembled it by myself, using a wall to lean it against as I bolted the bars together. I only needed a wrench and pliers...oh, and a pair of scissors for the vinyl "padding" (provided!) on the support bars. The third photo is a closeup of the finish on the metal; I believe it'll hold up well to weather, and it looks good, meanwhile. Last photo: the kayaks, stored, with bungee straps. I live in hurricane-prone country, but with a total weight of over 160 pounds, this loaded storage rack will not be moving. Please note: I didn't exactly center the kayaks. I imagine they'll do better when I do shift them some to the left. I hope this unit is as sturdy and long-lasting as it seems to be, now.

I looked at a less expensive rack but could not find any verification that it would fit our 4 adult size kayaks. This rack works very well and seems sturdy. I was hoping to stay in the $100-150 range but am glad I spent the $200 for this rack. I am able to fit the paddles in front of the kayaks on the rack. My largest is a 12' fishing kayak that is 30" wide (bottom one) and I can still put the paddle on the end of the arms. The next up is an 11' x 28" wide and the top two are 10' by 28" wide. The space between arms is about 17". More than enough for clearance for these kayaks. As you can see it is in a garage with a standard size garage door. It does not come close to interfering with opening or closing the garage door. Follow the directions closely and you should have very little problem with assembly. I did put the one upright on backwards and had to reinstall. The uprights have a small hole and a large hole back to back. Make sure the large hole faces the long part of the base. The padding for the arms is 4 strips. Just cut them in half for the 8 support arms and place them on the arms starting at the front. I would recommend this rack for inside or outside storage.

Wow Amazon! What a nice little product. Took some time to put together and we really like it, minus one little endcap that is missing. Too bad we have to take it apart and rebox it to get this little piece of plastic. Very disappointed in customer service

During COVID we bout 3 of those sit on top kayaks from Walmart. This rack was easy to assemble and fits all 3 perfectly.

Was easy to put together but would have been better with an additional set of hands. Just awkward to put together by yourself. Very sturdy and good quality. Note that canoe is 14 ft and did not fit on the rack. My intention was to have it get all three off the ground but couldn't fit canoe. Bungee's nice for securing although I only used two for the top rack and secured the oars with the others.Would definitely buy again!
