I've been buying Keen's for 16 years now and have gone through dozens of pairs of their hiking shoes. Lately, I have toned down my hiking, but I still like the Keen shoes for daily wear. I am a loyal Keen enthusiast not only because they make a great shoe, but once, in 2012, I had a pair of Targhee II that had a faulty eyelet that broke the first time I wore it. Keen promptly replaced the boots with no questions asked. That action by them made me a Keen customer for life.These Targhee III's are replacing another pair of Targhee III's that will now be relegated to yardwork only. These hiking boots have a relaxed feel - they are light and nimble (not heavy or clunky). I feel comfortable doing anything in these boots and that is why they are what I wear 80% of the time. My wife wears a more, 'traditional', hiking boot and she only wears those on the trail because they do well on the trail, but aren't great anywhere else. These Keens are champs on the trail and perform well in most other situations as well.I love that they are waterproof and that the soles are grippy. I have never lost my footing because of my Keens. If you've never worn Keens before, the toe box is large and roomy. My feet are narrow near the heel and normal up front - these boots are snug on my heel and leave room for my toes.

After wearing these boots for nearly a year I must say they’re excellent. First pair of Keen boots I’ve owned but will not be my last! They’re extremely comfortable and broke in easily and quickly. I’ve worn them all day hunting and also worn them daily at work when I’m on my feet on pavement or concrete for nine hours at a time. The fit, comfort, look and durability are all 5-stars. The most important thing (I think) is to order one size larger than you normally wear in boots. I normally wear a size 12 boot or dress shoe, and wear a 13 running shoe. The size 13 Keen boots fit me perfectly. Definitely recommend!

Keen make the best boots. I've used their safety boots at work and now use their hiking boots exclusively. They are insanely tough, durable and fit great. I took a pair to Everest Base Camp and totally fell in love with them and use them daily hiking in the West. They have a nice wide toe box and snug your instep well to lock your heel in and prevent your toes from crushing while hiking. In other less sturdy, more poorly deisgned, cheaper boots I have lost toe nails from them hitting the end of the boot. But I've never had ANY foot problems with Keen boots.

I had these for six months but started getting bad after 5 months. I wear them day in day out as normal shoes. I'm sure they are not meant for that much use. I like Keen because they are the only shoes that the tread stays for a long time. They are comfortable. For heavy use I Guese that's not bad for high tops. I had a pair that lasted for almost year. If it gets worse, I'll try something else. I would love to be a Keen shoe tester. Photos are right and left shoes.

I like these boots. They fit well for my wide feet and are comfortable with the aid of a new insert, but that is because of my failing arch.My issue is the gluing of the upper to the sole is not consistent. So much so that this particular pair I received had spots that weren't glued right out of the box. I fixed that myself, which I'm happy I can do. But then the next issue arises before the year is up. That being: the upper cracks and seperates from the sole which renders it no longer waterproof. This happens the fastest where the toes bend, then works its way towards the arch of the shoe. This is my second pair of this exact boot and it has happened both times. One time bought in a store and the second time bought on Amazon, so it's not a knockoff issue or anything like that. I wish they could fix this problem, but for the price, I will have to look elsewhere.

This is my second pair of Keen boots. I use them for hunting. We do alot of predator hunting and these have been amazing. I normally need to order wide boots but Keen has a large toe box and I got the normal width and they fit perfectly. We walk 2-5 miles when we hunt and they have been comfortable from day 1. Water proof soo far. We have hunted in the snow and gone through alot of muddy areas and they have kept me dry. Once these wear out I will be getting another pair.

These boots got used very lightly during the week, and extra heavy during most weekends for long hikes through Florida trails in sand, dirt, and mud.Good ankle support for versatile terrain, tread was never an issue, never slipped on wet rocks but I also didn’t test it often. Size I usually buy fit very well, 12w. A bit firm at first, but will break in.The pair lasted the 10 months with minimal care in cleaning (occasional brushing sand/dirt, keeping dry)Eventually the material started peeling and now the waterproofing’s compromised.Because of the waterproofing they run a little warm, but it’s worth the trade off on days after the rain not to have soaking wet feet.

I walk a minimum of 10km per day - a mix of wet, boggy woodland, hard gravel road, and stoney beach, on a daily basis, and these boots are perfect for every terrain - really comfortable and good for about 2000km

These are probably the most comfortable boots I have ever purchased. Fit perfectly. Well made and great anti-slip soles. Definitely recommend.

I wore this for hiking Mount Rinjani recently. It was raining a lot and although my socks got wet eventually (as expected from many hours of rain), this shoe held up very well and the insides were not soaked or saturated with water, just wet.

After several years and many miles, my old pair of Targhees is on the way out. Got a great price on a replacement pair. These boots suit my foot shape and I find them excellent in a wide variety of terrain.
