I bought these speakers to replace the speakers in my 2012 Ford F150 Lariat Super Crew due to the horrible sound from the factory speakers.WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. These speakers are well worth the price. They give you so much better sound and base, and you don't have to pay big $$ to get it.I installed these myself, all 4. It took me about 2 hours. It's quite easy to do.Make sure to also buy the HSTECH 72-5600 wires, so you can easily connect them to the new speakers and the truck wiring. They snap right on.You only need a few tools, Look up the videos on You Tube on how to replace the speakers.THE ONLY THING YOU DON'T NEED TO DO - in the video, the tech shows you to disconnect the door cable from the panel lever. You DO NOT need to do that. After you remove the panel screws and lift the door panel off, disconnect the wire connectors to the power locks/windows and mirror, the take a chair or something like a stool, place it on the floor right at the panel - then turn the panel either clockwise or counterclockwise (depending on if your working on the driver or passenger door), and set the panel on the chair or stool so as to not stretch the lever cable. This will clear the area you need to get to the speaker. Remove the old, put in the new. Follow the steps to reinstall the panel and your done. The back doors are slightly difficult because you have to pop out the window control switch. The reason is that there is a very small clearance inside the panel where you will not be able to disconnect the connector and reconnect it from the inside like you would with the front doors.. But again, I didn't use any special tools, I just very carefully used a tiny flat tip screwdriver and gently lifted the window module out - working my way with the screwdriver all the way around the module until it popped right out and not breaking anything.Again - this only took me about 2 hours. It was a breeze.I highly - HIGHLY recommend these speakers! I am kicking myself in the butt for not doing this sooner. The sound is soooo much better!

Installation was straightforward. After installing both speakers, I would estimate the sound has improved by about 30% over stock speakers.Fidelity is better than the old factory speakers, and at any given volume setting on the car radio, the Kenwoods produce about 30% more sound. In fact, I cant turn the volume up completely on the radio, it might blow out the speakers. These speakers are not known for bass. Strong mid range. One caveat: buy a high-quality wire harness. I bought a cheap set of wire harness adapters. Mistake, they did not fit well.Excellent value, just make sure you get a high quality harness.

Bought a new (used) ford five hundred two weeks ago. Was not at all happy with the sound coming from my speakers. Thought I'd take a chance with the Kenwoods before I sunk some real money into a factory replacement radio. Was only expecting a moderate improvement in sound quality. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I must say, W-T-F, are you kidding me? This is the sound that was trying to come out of my factory stereo? These speakers transformed my stereo into a music machine. The lows thump and the highs are as clear as a bell. I can now hear sounds from my MP3s that I could only hear with my $80 headphones. It took me three hours to replace all four speakers and I can honestly say that this is the BEST investment I've ever made in my car. After the instal, I sat in my car for two hours soaking up the sweet sounds of Chicago and The Eagles. Ran my battery down and had to jump my car to go to work the next day. So, bottom line, if you're listening to crappy speakers you don't have to. These things will turn your factory kitten into a beastly lion! P.S. don't forget to buy the wiring adaptors!

I bought these speakers to replace the speakers in my 2004 Ford Taurus because one of my door speakers was blown out. They were very easy to install and fit perfectly! I also purchased the speaker adapters which made them even simpler to install. No wires to cut or anything. I just unplugged my old speakers and plugged the new ones in. The only problem I had was the wires were too long and the windows hit the wires when I put them down so I had to take the speakers out and "shorten" the wires by clipping them to the speakers using the clip on the speakers--simple. The sound is good-especially the highs and mid-range. Could use a little more bass but overall I am very pleased with these speakers.

I bought these after the rear factory speakers in my 2005 Ford Focus blew and started rattling like crazy after installing a Pioneer DEH-X3700UI. I had already replaced the front speakers with what I thought were a older model of the same size speaker so I wanted to make sure a get a matching rear set. Turns out I had put in Kenwood KFC-C5794PS 5x7 speakers in the front as Ford stock speakers are that size. In any case the 6x8's still fit perfectly in the rear doors even if the stock speakers were 5x7 and compliment my slightly smaller front speakers in performance. They also are the exact same depth as the stock speakers so plenty of clearance for the rear windows rolled down.Performance wise they have great treble and very good bass. Not going to win any competitions or get attention/annoyance of those around you, but they'll sound great to you and your passengers and are easily a huge upgrade from stock for a really good price.I might not be able to afford a new car but I pretty sure I now have a better audio system than most newer cars.
