We hate hotel coffee which is why we purchased this K-Mini plus for our recent 3 week road trip. It worked like a champ!!! This K-mini plus has lot of great features: a removeable 12 ounce water reservoir, a pod storage unit, a slimmer footprint, and a stronger brew function. We especially liked the higher clearance which easily held our 12 ounce insulated travel mugs and the cord storage which easily tucks up inside of the unit. Our only complaint - and it's our fault entirely for not reading the manual - is the quiet 30 second pause that happens after adding the water and inserting the pod. The first week or so, the flickering circular light on the top confused us, since we didn't know if it meant that the water was heating up or if we put the pod too early or too late. We eventually figured it out!Overall, this a great coffee maker that brews a great cup of coffee and works exceptional well for traveling. The narrow profile makes it super easy to set up in a hotel room even when you are only given about 6 inches of counter space.

K-Mini Plus is easy to use with minimal controls which is a plus. Takes up less counter space than previous unit. I like that it shuts off after 90 seconds. I bought the “Plus†model for the strong coffee feature. This feature slows the flow of hot water through the K-Cup to extract more flavor. It takes a bit longer to complete the brew but I like the results. So far, very pleased with purchase.

I've owned several Keurigs in the past, including the ill fated Vue. I like this unit the best of all of them. But you have to understand it intended use and how it works to appreciate it.1st, it doesn't pre-heat and stay hot like the bigger, multi-person units, when they are simply turned on. It only starts to heat when you press the big brew button. Once it's done with the brew the heater turns off, meaning it needs to pre-heat again for any additional cups.2nd, after you press the brew button, you have to be patient as, unlike the multi-person, larger and more expensive units, it has to heat the cold water. For me and my cold tap water, this takes just under 3 minutes before the cup is complete. In the end, this unit is much more energy efficient as it isn't always heating when simply turned on.4rd, if you are a single or maybe two person coffee household, this unit is perfect. If you have 3 or more drinkers or throw a lot of gatherings where coffee would be served, the bigger and more expensive multi-cup units would be better for you. What sets this unit apart from others is :1) It's really small and doesn't take up much counter space, built-in cord storage and coffee bin are nice as well2) It's really easy to keep clean, as there aren't a dozen things to take apart to clean or difficult places to try and shove paper towel into.3) Does a good hot cup of coffee, no need to adjust temperature as it's comes up too hot to drink right away... Like a coffee maker should!4) Water bin is easy to add/remove, easy to fill, easy to clean, easy to dry - compared to the multi-cup makers5) Unlike other makers, the design is clean, modern, yet simple and doesn't have stupid curves or wasted spaces. This makes the unit easy to add water, brew, use and clean comparably6) The design is so efficient that there's not a single drip, at least for me, once the brew is done. I'm used to other Keurigs which drip for a minute or two afterwards. The one design issue that affects impatient people is that the brew LED seems to have no rime or reason. You really can't rely on it to determine what step it is in during the brew. I just press the brew button, verify the LED is no longer solid for a couple seconds and walk away for a few minutes or listen for the empty air sound that occurs at the end of the brew cycle if I'm in the kitchen doing other things. In the end I highly recommend this maker for single or dual-household coffee drinkers or those who drink coffee irregularly. However, if you are an impatient person who can't value a small, easy to maintain, energy efficient coffee maker with a simple design, you will hate this coffee maker. It's coffee people, not rocket science. The quality and age of the coffee and pod design/filter are the most important factors. The coffee maker just disperses a controlled amount of hot water to the overall process. In this last factor, I find this unit to excel.

This machine is a pleasure to use, and delivers a flavor of fresh ground coffee. Previously, I wrote a negative review (shown below) because it wouldn’t make a 6 oz cup. Today, discovered that it does work properly with 6 ½ ounces of water, and enjoyed a really strong cup of coffee (measuring done accurately using the bottom of the meniscus in an accurate glass jug). So why only 4 stars today? First, it would have been nice (but now unnecessary) to make coffee with 6 oz water. Second, it splatters and splashes all around itself. And, third and finally, the power cord is stuck in the “cord storage†part of the machine. Used significant force, but doesn’t deploy… fixed by plugging it in to an extension cord.Original Review:If you'd like coffee made with 8 ounces of water, or more, then this machine makes excellent coffee. I happily had several cups. But then (even though the "Strong" button works well) I wanted to try a small, very strong cup. So I used just 6 oz of water, measured with a measuring jug. Each time I tried, the machine's lights came on, and it made some encouraging noises, but then the lights went our and it just sat there doing nothing. I wasted three K-Cup pods trying to get this 6 oz "feature" to work. Discovered that by adding an additional 2 oz of water it was then happy, and made coffee. Very disappointed!

I’ve only just made my first cup but I love it! So easy right out of the box. Take the tape off, run one cup of water through to clean system out and you’re good to go. Also very slim design!

Great for small areas but, also makes great hot coffee. It makes one cup at a time. I bought the Cardinal Red to brighten up my kitchen - it's fun and makes me smile in the morning. I also like the option for "strong" coffee - the water runs though the pod more slowly hence, more flavor. I suggest not leaving the pod in the coffeemaker once it's finished - discard it after use otherwise it tends to clog the prong. I wish the cord was a tad longer - it measures 24-25 inches - I thought it would be longer but, found a place where it works just fine. It's a bit noisy but, only for a minute or two - the good coffee it makes.....is worth it. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but, for me, I just want simple to make- good coffee in the morning and this is perfect. Arrived on time in perfect condition. Hope this helps.
