This works great!!! I took it to the dealership, they charge me $36 to reprogram the remote. Best deal I have gotten all year. The dealership wanted me to buy their key fob for $200, no way!!

The key fob is easily programable with specialized equipment. If you do not have the required equipment a competent locksmith can program it and cut the key insert for a reasonable fee. We have the necessary electronic tools at our shop and quickly programmed the fob but will need a locksmith to cut the key insert. Overall this is a good purchase at a reasonable price but it will not work out of the box without professional programming.

Fob was exactly as pictured. When I had the Locksmith program it, the battery in the key fob was dead, so he put a new one in and it worked great. Total cost to me for the fob, battery, and programming was $125, vs. $250 from the mobile locksmith. I didn't even bother calling Honda. It doesn't have the Honda emblem on it, but I knew that going in. Not a big deal.

This worked for my 2022 Honda CRV Hybrid. I did have to take it to a key shop to get the inside "emergency" key cut and to get the for programmed. Unfortunately, they told me it could not be programmed to "Driver 2". That means it won't work for the automatic seat position feature. I had to turn that feature off, and now I press the buttons on the door when we change drivers.

I had called a reputable local locksmith & $250. Then, my dealership said $165 for programming & cutting. I got to the Honda place but they said that it wouldn't program, so I left with $399 on my card. Maybe they's rather sell new fobs? Or maybe it wouldn't program? I honestly don't know.

I just purchased a 2019 Honda Pilot LX without remote start. Found a video that stated if you purchase a fob with the start button you can program the new remote and will have remote start. This worked. Used a snap on scan tool and program the new fob to the car. If you don’t have access to a high quality scan tool you will need to pay a lock smith or take to the dealer for programming.
