Follow these steps on how to replace your Audi key fob battery with ease:

  1. Removing the Mechanical/Emergency Key (if applicable): If your Audi key fob has a mechanical or emergency key, press the release button or latch to remove it from the fob.
  2. Opening the Key Fob: Flip open the key blade if applicable. Use a small screwdriver or similar tool to press and release the cover or gently pry open the seam of the fob by inserting the tool and twisting it.
  3. Removing the Old Battery: Once the cover is removed, locate and carefully remove the old battery from the fob.
  4. Inserting the New Battery: Insert the new Deluxe battery into the same spot, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  5. Closing the Key Fob: Snap the cover or battery holder back into place securely. If you removed a mechanical key, reinsert it until it clicks into place.
  6. Testing the Key Fob: Test the key fob by pressing the lock and unlock buttons to ensure it’s functioning properly.

I received the batteries. Totally different packaging than shown. It does not even say “for Audi”. They claim to be made in America, but they had Chinese writing all over the back of it. Definitely not worth the $15. I am unsure of the quality of these batteries.
