Length & width match, height perhaps 3/8 inch lower than OEM, shimmed top with some very firm foam duck taped under the hold down bar to stay in place. 10mm socket/wrench for battery terminals & both ends of hold down bar. 13mm socket 8+ inch extension for clamp holding rear end of battery to floor. Use a bit of thin wire, like a long bread bag twisty, to hold clamp&13mm bolt to end of socket/extension, makes it easy to reach down in there and line it up. BMW's will need battery registration with computer attached to OBDII port. Installed easy enough, will be years to know how it holds up.

My old battery was getting weak. I installed this thing and the truck started like it was struck by lightning. The interior lights are blindingly bright, just an unreal battery. I have had great success with Optima batteries in the past. I hope this one is no different!!

Installed in my 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Works great, as expected from an Optima. Perfect fit and handles my electrical needs.

What can I say? You get what you pay for. These are high-quality batteries that are very reliable and are my go to whenever replacing batteries. I’ve made the mistake of trying others that were nowhere near reliable, and a waste of money

This battery has a 3-year warranty (for residential use), but that warranty is apparently only good for 30 days. If you are thinking that doesn't add up, well, I don't either. Let me explain it to you as it was explained to me by the manufacturer, and by Amazon customer service.Let me start by stating that I was a long-time Optima battery proponent. I have owned a lot of vehicles and Optima has been my go-to battery brand for about 25 years. I have probably bought a dozen of them over the years, and have had as many friends buy them as replacements for their vehicles on my recommendation. A recommendation I will no longer make. I heard from others in the automotive community that Optima is not the company that they once were and that their batteries are no longer made as well nor lasting as long. In hindsight it seems that is actually accurate.I purchased the battery a year ago (it lasted literally a few days longer than a year before it suddenly failed). I looked up my order on Amazon, clicked the "Get Product Support" button on the order details page which then directed me to contact the manufacturer, so I did.The manufacturer responded stating that "warranties are handled by the original retail location" and advised that Amazon would assist with the warranty as the authorized retailer. I responded back to the manufacturer to let them know that the Amazon site sent me to them. The manufacturer doubled down and stated that they sent a message to Amazon to request that they assist me and that they will do nothing else and that it is up to Amazon to take action. The manufacturer was even "kind" enough to provide a link to Amazon's "About Our Returns Policies" page which states:"If you've purchased a defective automotive item, shipped from and sold by Amazon.com, that is covered by a published manufacturer warranty, Amazon honors the warranty. Amazon will either replace the item or refund the cost of the item for the life of the published warranty."So, I contacted Amazon customer service and detailed the steps that I have taken and what the manufacturer said. The representative then "checked with a supervisor" and came back to advise me that Amazon only accepts return or replacement of items within 30 days of purchase. The representative offered to have me speak with a supervisor since she was unable to assist further. After the original representative transferred me, I spoke with a representative stating to be a supervisor and rehashed everything to that point. The supervisor then regurgitated the same 30-day return policy statement. I then pointed out the return policy published on Amazon's site (that the manufacturer pointed me to) stating that Amazon would refund or replace defective automotive items under warranty for the life of the warranty. The supervisor again regurgitated the 30-day return policy. I ultimately asked point blank if the policy meant that the manufacturer's warranty is only honored by Amazon for 30 days. She confirmed that it was. A bit taken back by her response, I then asked if that meant that any items that have a manufacturer warranty longer than 30 days should be purchased from a brick-and-mortar competitor's retail location instead of from Amazon. Amazingly, she said yes to that as well.Long story short, Amazon is pointing at Optima who is pointing at Amazon who is pointing at Optima, and I am stuck in the middle holding the bill, literally and figuratively. I recommend you save yourself $150-$200 and buy a cheap battery from Walmart. At least you know that they will give you a prorated replacement in store when it fails.

This battery was a perfect replacement for my group 94R battery in my 2021 Tahoe. Everything from the size and hold down provisions to the location of the terminal posts was perfect. 10/10 would recommend for anyone looking to upgrade the battery in their 2021+ Tahoe

So, you want to buy an Optima… You’re probably thinking ‘I want the best’ ‘I want something that will last a long time’ ‘I care about quality’ ‘I saw it on XYZ car show and they used them, so they must be rad’. These were all things I also thought, and why I decided to go with Optima instead of a cheap lead acid. Unfortunately not a single one of those thoughts was proven to be reality.1: It died! Within FOUR MONTHS! It DIED!!! Are you kidding me!?!?! Ya, I live in a very cold climate, but every battery I’ve ever owned has lasted at LEAST 4 years. NOT FOUR MONTHS! I even keep a heated battery blanket plugged in man!! Brutal!!2: Warranty. I was away for work and thought, ‘Hey, I’ll just order it through Amazon, that way it’ll be ready for me when I get home’. TERRIBLE decision! Need warranty? Seller WILL NOT HELP YOU! You need to go through Optima directly. I have still not been able to get help so…. So far I have ZERO refund/replacement, and the most expensive and heavy paperweight I own (although it is fantastic at holding down paper, see point 3). As I need a truck to drive, I went and bought the cheapest battery “Big Canadian store that sells Tires†had to offer… It’ll probably last years without issue, and if it’s doesn’t, GUESS WHAT!? They’ll replace it with a prorated warranty right then and there.3: It’s HEAVY. I’m not sure what the difference is, but it’s about 15+ pounds heavier than my standard battery of the same size. Difficult to install, and then have to uninstall 4 months later. Convenient if trying to build upper body strength, but honestly a gym membership is way cheaper.4: Cost. When I purchased it was cheaper than currently, at around 3X a lead acid from CT. Now it’s like 4-5X the price, which is insane! WHY DID I BUY THIS!?!You’re probably thinking, ‘that won’t happen to me’, ‘this guy’s just an idiot or doesn’t know things about batteries’. Maybe… Maybe my expectation of a battery lasting more than 4 months is unrealistic… OR! Maybe, save yourself a bunch of money and pain and just buy a normal battery from a normal store that offers a normal warranty. Trust me friend. Take my advice and save yourself from this anguish. So overall, nothing but L’s for this item. I will never buy an Optima again. I’ll be sure to tell all my car and truck buddies to never buy Optima’s, and I’ll make sure to tell my nieces and nephews who don’t care about cars at all that Optima’s are garbage just to cover my bases. Same goes for the seller. Thanks for nothing and no support. You suck!
