This unit has ample power for 550 sq fr. Not only cools but also has a heater and dehumidifier. For the price ir is excellent.

I bought this air conditioner because it boasted being quiet. It is NOT. It is actually as loud as any of the other units I have had...actually louder. Very disappointed. Had to keep it because I missed the window to return but I would have returned it. The only good thing about this unit is that it is also a heater so I have been able to use that feature this winter.I did my research about ACs and I wanted a quiet one. I know that they can't be very quiet but this one is anything but. Don't believe the info that it is quiet. Stick with Friederich. I have those units in my bedrooms and they are much quieter.
