I recently bought an older Tokina 500mm reflex lens, for next to nothing, to use on my Sony a7rii. The Sony has an e mount. The Tokina came with an fd adapter, which I'm having trouble getting off of the lens.I bought the Concepts adapter to stack with the fd adapter that's on the lens. So I have this adapter (fd lens to sony e mount) stacked with the fd mount to Tokina lens. It works. I'm able to photograph through this legacy lens and I can focus.

I got this little bad boy to mount an older Canon FD 50mm lens to the perennial workhorse Sony A6000. The first thing I love is the metal construction. It doesn't feel flimsy - also, it matches the aesthetic and feel of an older lens (which you are presumably using...because its an adapter). The second thing I love is the price. I'm not going to have to buy another one in six months or a year. This will be a part of my lens lexicon for a lengthy while. And for $20?? Come on. It gives you the capability of adding a whole range of cool affordable lenses for next to nothing. This one is a no brainer.

Got this to go with some canon fd lenses I picked up cheap. This works perfectly. Everything manual, everything perfect. It does exactly what it needs to do.

I received my adapter yesterday. Before adding it to my gear, I checked out the fit onto my Sony a7II camera. The fit was nice and tight. Finish on the adapter is very good. I then checked my 35-105 FD, 28 FD and my 300/4 lenses. All three lenses were easy to focus with this adapter. The images are amazing with the combination of a modern 24mp camera with a set of over 35-40 year old lenses. This really surprized me that it actually worked. There is only one change to the Sony in the menu, and that is the selection to allow the shutter to first without a lense since the adapter does not communicate with the camera body. Your Sony will actually tell you to change this setting when you attempt to shoot the first frame. Minor thing though. I there are any issues I will update the review.

I've had this for about a year. Overall it does the job. I use it on my vintage Canon FD 50mm lens when adapting it for a Sony E mount. I have another 50mm Canon FL mount, which should work with this, but doesn't work well. The issue is that there is a little pin inside the adapter that pushes a lever inside the lens and allows you to manipulate the aperture. If you remove it, you can use the FL mount, but then it doesn't work for the FD mount. If you're using FD only, it'll work. Otherwise, maybe try another brand.The other issue I had with it, is it doesn't allow me to focus to infinity, which is disappointing. I have a long FD mount lens, which is pretty awesome, but without infinity focus it's not really worth keeping on my camera. I'd personally try a different brand.

I found it difficult to get the FD lens breech lock onto this, also it's too easy to get the lever that controls the aperture on the wrong side. On the adapter the lock ring thing doesn't engage properly so it's too easy to accidentally stop down the lens.

L'adaptateur de monture fonctionne. Ne nuit en rien à la qualité des photos. Le seul problème est au niveau de la fabrication. L'adaptateur une fois installé sur la caméra est légèrement lâche. Le trou qui reçoit la tige de barrage est légèrement trop grand probablement pour faciliter l'installation sur la caméra. Une fois enclanchée, la barrure tient tout de même bien en place sans risque de se défaire. Ce modèle pro est légèrement plus serré une fois enclenché que le modèle régulier. Le problème est pour le montage sur la caméra E. Côté FD, tout est parfait.

I have ordered the product before and pleased as it works as described. BUT since then I was gifted one that Does NOT Adapt! and sits on my shelf. Now months later I needed an extra one and it comes with the same issue.. This company does not seem to have a Quality control department anymorec to ignore this problem for months. I'm returning the one I just bought.
