This is an excellent product, worth the slightly higher price compared to bargain adapters. It is solid and secure, rotating into place with a satisfying click. I can't comment on that auto focus aspect, because I use this adapter only with manual lenses. But in all respects that I'm familiar with, this adapter functions very well.

Excellent product! Shipping was a long wait, but it was worth it! Great craftsmanship, looks exactly as pictured in every detail, more than I can say about other adapters I ordered that only looked great on pictures. Pros: - Very good smooth paint finish - All metal construction - Durable (been using it over a year now) - The lens screwed in the correct way (not upside down) - Snug fit to my Lumix GH2, no jiggle.I cannot find any Cons...this is just a beautifully made M42 to micro four 3rd lens adapter. Even the product packaging looks good. Highly recommended for those looking for M42 Screw Mount Lens to Micro 4/3 adapter. Now I can finally use my Yashica Yashinon-DS 50mm f/1.9 on my GH2. (I'll add photos when I can)-Update: Over a year later & the adapter is still in very good shape! (04.24.2016)

Got some funky lenses recently through various camera acquisitions and I thought it'd be fun to try them on my Olympus EM1 Mk2, particularly the 400mm that steps up to 80mm on MFT cameras. The adapter works flawlessly! It;'s solidly built and I've had no issues or wobbling. I would not hesitate if you need to adapt some old glass to mft cameras!

This is a solidly built piece of equipment and may deserve five stars not four because it works every bit as well as described. Here's why I gave it only four: I have a collection of old lenses gathered over years of my photography hobby and I was really interested and enthusiastic about expanding the capabilities of my micro four-thirds Panasonic GX7. In truth it works but defeats the object of a high-performing lightweight camera. I think, from careful viewing of the results that the crop factor magnifies the imperfections of legacy lenses so the get the hoped-for results you have to use the only the very best of them. Add to this the extra bulk and weight of the old lenses, and their inability to integrate with so many of the features of a modern digital camera which you've become used to using and you may wish to consider if it's practical. But hey it is fun, I grant.

This is a great mount adapter for the m42 screw mount to micro 4/3. It creates a very sturdy connection to the lens and to the camera body. This is a great way to get cheap, high quality glass for micro 4/3 using vintage manual lenses. The only catch is this adapter doesn’t provide for autofocus, but if there are m42 lenses that actually have autofocus then I don’t know about them and they’re few and far between.

The product itself is built well and high quality. Unfortunately, it did not work for my lens. I was trying to adapt my vintage meteor 17-69 lens from my Krasnogorsk-3 to my bmpcc4k. The ring on the inside of the adapter made it so the lens didn't fit into the adapter. Just a heads up if anyone is buying for this lens.

As long as you remember this adapter is for lenses that will only allow you to focus manually, you will love this product. It is extremely well made and it will open of all sorts of great possibilities of new lenses to try out with your M43 mirrorless cameras. Excellent adapters like this one will really rekindle your love of photography, simply trying out some of that great vintage glass out there you can take with you on the road and bring back great pictures from completely new adventures. For the price, it's more than a bargain. I highly recommend the adapters from K&F.

Works as advertised. I can now use my vintage m42 lenses on my Olympus m43 camera. This adapter allows fitting the manual focus lens to m43 digital cameras.

Got this adapter for my GH5 to fit some vintage Fujca lens's inherited from my late uncles camera. Build quality is good and the lens is sturdy when mounted. For the cost its a no brainer, id recommend to anyone wanting to use vintage lenses. The only issue I had was on a longer zoom lens ( 130mm ) did not have very good focus range, the focus range was very narrow and could not reach infinity. The 55mm I have also however works great.

As many have said this adapter is beautifully engineered and has a solid no-nonsense feel and weight to it. It has its own plastic clip-lid box. This (together with a Nikon G adapter from the same company) was the second I ordered in two days as I found a M42 lens just after I had ordered the Nikon adapter. They are both superb and literally - if you look at the illustration on the box lid - do what the box says they do. In the case of the older screw in lens attachment takes seconds and the installation is firm and solid.A few words of caution however.Your camera and the lens it has available for it have been designed as a system. Everything is balanced in terms of size and weight - things you considered and appealed to you when you bought it.Adding a lens not designed for your camera will throw all out of balance - literally. In addition lens designed and made decades ago were the best they could be for the price at the time. Their performance was often stellar, sometimes rubbish and usually OK.In some ways these lens can be seen as motor cars from the 1960s.You may admire a classic sports car like an E-type Jaguar or similar. You may have had one at the time and remember how it performed or you may simply want to drive one.But the experience may not be as you remember or imagine. Your beautiful head turning sleek car is probably very uncomfortable by today’s standards. You may not be able to find some where to drive it to the maximum. It may become a ‘Sunny Sunday’ car, only coming out when the weather is perfect and sitting in the garage most of the time.Your old lens may be like that sports car.‘Good glass’ optimised for film cameras from years ago may be unforgiving on a digital sensor. Modern focusing aids like peak focusing may not always work. Your idea of getting a cool looking cheap super telephoto lens by using an adapter on a 2x crop sensor in practice may result in a ‘monster’ you can use only in certain specific, limited circumstances. And as stated at the top of this review your camera may feel heavy and unbalanced - something to consider, especially if you have small hands or arthritis. But if you have read this far and are prepared to accept that you may not get an award winning photo first time - or indeed ever - simply want to experiment and at the same time improve or recapture your photographic skills and not rely on your modern digital camera doing all the thinking, then your camera, this adapter and that lens in the garage or cupboard or drawer will get along fine. And best of all you will have fun and may even surprise yourself.
