The only way this would have been a solid solution for me would have been to weld gusset to stabilize the stand. The upright is ~.079" tk and has a bunch of welding slag in it you can hear bouncing around. The welds are horrendously bad.The top and bottom plate are pretty solid and happy with those.Used this for a light duty belt stander and it's at best, just an ok solution.

Absolutely not portable unless you don't secure it to the floor, but then it wouldn't be sturdy at all. I wish the steel it was made of was a thicker gauge but it does pretty good for what you pay for.

The finish is superb but once bolted to the ground, could be a little stiffer if the material was a little bit thicker. But does the job for light duty.
