After our electrician installed our Geno fan and left the wall switch dead, I replaced it with this remote control switch for our Geno fan. It works great and the multiple plates for this mean that you will be able to match the wall plates in your room for any scenario. I like once again having a wall switch that works, and while I am used to a rocker switch versus the button that this have, it's a minor adjustment. There's even some luminescent material in the button for the light which makes identifying it in the dark easier.

I bought this because I wanted to get rid the of the outlet controlled by the light switch and just use the light on the celling fan. I remove the light switch in the wall mounted box and hard wired the wires and put switch in it's place. looks great and works like a charm. It was very easy to pop off the cover and program with the exact same dip switch configuration as the remote that came with the celling fan/light. I plan to do the other bedrooms in my house that have switch controlled out lets.

This item is really a nice feature when replacing the old switches for a fan/light that is older. We loved the stand alone remote that came with the fixture but wanted to turn things on and off without walking through the dark. The hardest part is figuring out what to do with the wires because this is essentially a battery powered remote mounted to the wall. Works flawlessly however

Electrician could not get this switch to work w/o the original remote. Can it be returned!?

I wanted an in wall remote controller for my Kichler fan because the included hand held remote with wall bracket was huge and not really my style and there is near zero chance of loosing an in wall switch. :^)I knocked one star off because it has a light dimmer switch which I didn't need (no light on fan) and Kichler does not make a model without the light control switch. Otherwise it works perfect.

Works Great! Fan came with hand held remote and reciever, but i wanted something to replace existing wall switch with and something i didnt have to look for (2 kids). Installed it in place of the existing switch and it worked perfect with reciever that was already in ceiling. This does not wire into wall. It is only a remote control that goes on the switch box.

I bought a house with a kichler fan light combo. It is a nightmare because the light is OFF by default which means turning your lights on becomes a 2 step process.I bought this (paid way too much for a glorified remote control car remote) and wired the fan as always on so its my new light switch, but the button is sticky and its just nowhere near as good as a light switch.I am going to end up replacing the fan and will never buy a kichler fan again.
