My grandson loves these planes. Luckily, the sound can be turned off and the plane wind-up mechanism will still work. The plane noise and flashing lights are okay for awhile, making them a lot of fun for a 21-month-old boy, but after awhile you need to turn off the sound. I'm sure kids don't tire of it, but parents and grandparents do! When you pull back on them to wind the mechanism inside, they really zoom off down the floor. We haven't tried them outside yet, but I'm sure we will eventually. Worthwhile toy to buy.

* updated ~ the seller quickly sent us a replacement and my nephew is so excited to have a complete and working airplane. It’s as advertised - sturdy - looks cool!! Great buy!I purchased this for my nephew for his birthday. We received it and immediately unboxed it - it did not come with the tail pieces and it wasn’t wrapped in the box? We installed 3 brand new batteries. It seemed new except the missing parts- it also is not fully operating and is flimsy. Only one side lights up and we have to push it together to get both wings to light up and then one of the wings fails again. The way it came in the package looked like it was a return from someone else that we received. Even with all this my nephew is obsessed with it and I wasn’t able to pry it from him to return it. I contacted the sellers and have not received any response. Very disappointed.

They light up and make noises. They have an on-off twitch. Super fun set of airplanes

We got these for my grandsons birthday who is 2. They are nice and a good size, but when he went to play with them for the first time, one of the planes turn on switch broke off. Fortunately, paw-paw was able to fix it.

The wings keeps falling off. Also releases a funny burning rubber smell when the airplane sound is turned on.

I was trying to introduce my son to the idea of planes before his first plane ride. In my head this was going to be perfect. I could tell little man about the plane and we could walk the little people on and put them in their seats to “buckle up.†Then we would listen to the flight attendant for safety instructions. I’d show him the wings and tell him about takeoff and landing. Total parenting fail. I didn’t realize it was motorized and decided to turn it on. It spins around super fast then moves on its own crashing into things and making noise. I was instantly regretting turning the thing on, flashing forward to the therapy bills I’d be incurring in the future for my son’s fear of planes. We quickly turned it off and now just use it as a non-motorized toy. Even that is awful since the sides do not stay open on their own so every time he wants to play with this I need to not only hold it open for him but I also need to help him get the people in their seats because the pegs are so small it’s impossible for a little one to do on their own. Plus the flight attendant can only be placed into her stand facing exactly the right way because it’s not a circular peg. All around a bad purchase on my part. Luckily he doesn’t seem to have any long-term damage from the one time we turned it on. Though after proofing this post, I wonder if I maybe I do… 🤔
