Even though I bought it back in Sept, the project I needed it for was pushed back till now. I was using it to clean up threads in an aluminum airsoft part and it broke on the third twist in. Cleaning up threads is no where near as stressful on any tap as when cutting original threads. Not sure of the metal quality of this brand as you will see in my picture another flute also has a large Crack in it. I did not notice any cracks when I first got it, nor when I pulled it out to use for the first time.

Crudely machined and arrived with some superficial rust. Tried to cut outside threads and it wouldn’t seem to grab the material. And even when trying to insert a thread guide/centering tool, they won’t thread together. It’s a paper weight as far as I’m concerned.

so rough if you want to use it on aluminum the burrs will just drill a hole ,theeth a clearly overheated did they run out of coolant on the grinder?
