This tap / cutter set was a savior in my time of need. Because these sizes you do not find in a usual set.The quality is good and you can very well drill a new thread with it. However, I have tried it so far only in aluminum.However, only the smallest tap fits in a usual hand tool. For the two larger ones I would take a wrench.For the external thread cutters there are ratchet tools.Only because buyers had asked about it.Overall, also because of the price, I think the set is recommendable.

For the quality and what's included, this set is a great value. Taps and dies works as expected. Wooden case might arrive broken, so have your wood glue and your clamps handy.

Has gotten me out of some messes, they work and arent cheap garbage, used one to put threads onto a galvanized pipe.. used a pipe wrench, a lot of cutting fluid and a pipe vise but it didnt snap like ive seen some dies do. And for a fraction of what they would cost you from any big box store

Found it hard to create straight threads, used a different die made in Japan and it was significantly easier, and the threads were not as deep as the die from Japan. These probably work better for cleaning up threads and are very low cost

All very nice but cant be used without special die handle, 3 different ones exactly, Good luck on finding those, without knowing the size of dies, whether metric or US, cant be found, not even on VCT tools,My general supplier McMaster Carr doesnt have these odd sizes !!!!
