Really nice to have flat sides all the way up. Used to use a mason jar (well Mother is kept there) but doing a starter is very nice. I like the band that goes around to keep track of where it started.. the temp guide is nice as well tho my house is always cold (65°).

This is small. I guess I didn't understand the sizing - so it is my fault. I am not taking off stars - but just know, it's not large. It is about 1.5" taller than a soda can, and a bit wider. It came with all of the things promised, and it is a glass container.

It makes starting sourdough much easier. The quality was nice and even better for the money. It's not crack resistant but it does have a clean look. Also, I love two different basket sizes.

Im so using the daily for my starter. I do not use the cloth cover any more but I love the static sides and marks to watch for rise.

It’s a good sized jar for just making one loaf. It is kind of lightweight and a little thin feeling. Several times I have almost bumped it right off the counter when empty. I wish it had a different lid. One that covered the top instead of needing to slide inside. Can potentially cause dried particles or other things to fall into your starter. I will use it for now but may consider other options for the future.
