Installed on our 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, 3.5L. Love the difference in sound. You get a little whistle at higher RPMs when the intake starts sucking in air harder. Truck is much louder at higher RPMs as well. Per K&N you see an increase in HP (+18) and Torque (+13). My butt dyno tells me this is true but others will disagree on whether a CAI does anything at all with all the electronics anymore. Only thing I dislike is that the top, as seen in the picture, is open. It is not a totally enclosed box around the filter but instead has weather stripping along the top that is supposed to seal against the hood when it is shut. I don't much care for that idea since I would eventually like to get a Ram Air hood and drop outside air over the filter box. Time will tell how fast the filter gets dirty either way.....Anyway, easy install. Looks good. Works well. Something that I had to look up that turns out to be normal per K&N representatives is that when there is load at idle (such as turning steering wheel at a stop) you may hear a little 'burp'. Again, told it is normal and doesn't bother me any.

I don’t care what the Toyota “Mechanics†say, I feel a noticeable increase in power and throttle response. They say it’s all in my head, I say K&N has the Dyno to prove it. They’re left speechless and in disbelief. What I like most though, is the SOUND that this intake makes. It makes my truck sound ballsy and aggressive at the right RPM. The sound is so great, that I’d buy it for that reason alone. Installation was simple. I recommend laying all the parts out before installing so you have a better idea of what screws and bolts go where. I’ve owned three Tacoma’s, and I’ve always put a K&N intake on them. Life long customer. I did not get paid or offered anything for my review. I just love this damn intake. This was installed on a 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro with zero issues. Installation took an hour because I took my time.

Wow! I’ve run many K&N systems over the years from ATV filters to full intake kits on GM small blocks... and they have never disappointed! This kit was installed on a 2020 Tacoma with a 3.5L V6. The kits are pretty self explanatory, but when you have a question, the directions are clear enough to provide an answer. Kit was installed in about an hour with little trouble. I did mix-match a couple screws and have to swap them around but that was it. Fit is tight and secure, and the design and finish are amazing! Sound is amazing as well when reaching into the power band. Nice deep tone that you wouldn’t expect from a V6. There is little to no noise while cruising at highway speed. I can’t answer as to positive MPG yet bc I haven’t racked up enough miles to make that determination. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone wishing to wake-up their engine. These kits are made for almost any application. Just check K&N’s website for your part number.

This is the third k&n intake ive installed and this one was a bit more interesting than the rest....as its the only one i broke during installation. Here are my pros and cons of it.Pros:1. Better throttle response. Maybe more power but you're not gonna be blown away by any difference lol.2. Seems to be smoother taking off and accelerating3. Sounds amazing. Its subtle under normal driving but plant your foot and it gets loud. I feel its only truly loud over 4k rpm. If you have any experience with intakes on cars, you would most likely agree this one is mild.4. Ill update after some miles on this one but after just the initial test drive, im pretty sure gas mileage will be better.5. K&n provided awesome technical help and even replaced parts that were broken during installation free of charge (see the cons for details)6. Everything is fully backed by them and they even gurantee if a factory warranty claim is denied as a result of this intake, they will cover it.Cons:1. The instructions are detailed and feature pictures from an actual toyota tacoma like mine. (Much like every other k&n intake ive installed) however they seem to lack details on some parts and could have been much clearer on some aspects of installation. It seems they put alot of effort into the directions and they are good but some things needed to be further detailed.2. While tightening the breather tube fitment down it snapped off (see the picture)....why was this not already made on the tube anyway? It seems pointless to have to screw that in. Regardless be extremely careful when putting it together. ***(It should be noted that k&n sent me a replacement fitment and intake tube completely free of charge after i called them)***3. Lots of bolts and washers that look extremely similar and the instructions do a horrible job of differentiating what goes where. Its easy to figure out but i do feel they could have streamlined the screws and such that they used.In closing, id say that i reccomend this for your tacoma if you want better throttle response, a deep growling engine sound and overall better drivability. I would strongly advise reading the directions for each step and be extremely careful during install. Do not over tighten anything!

This product turned my 23 Tacoma V6 SR5 into a beast with no exhaust upgrades. This product destroys the factory TRD cold air intake making my factory SR5 better than the pricey TRD. I mention exhaust because it sounds like I put on a new high output exhaust, but I have a factory exhaust. I give this 5 stars for fuel efficiency because in my case nothing changed while I have better reaction and sound when needed but I am not a heavy footed driver until I need fun or acceleration for safety as I drive the highway twice daily. This dry filter alleviates the troubles with oiled filters and MAF sensor issues that cause you to clean MAF sensors periodically because of the oils. I am truly impressed..!!!

Paper instructions were a bit off, but the website had a better tutorial that made installation a breeze in less than 10 mins. Feel the difference in power and toque. Unsure if I'm saving gas mileage yet, but I only had it in for a week.

Solo tengan cuidado con la rosca de plástico en caso de que pidan el tubo en plástico, nomás enrosquen hasta donde se ponga duro , si no lo barren.

This was very easy to install, took me about 1 1/2 hours. Polished aluminum looks awesome. Great sound, coupled with my MBRP exhaust.Very healthy and happy 3.5L V6. More air in and more exhaust out translates into better performance, more torque, more HP, better fuel economy. Reasonably priced.

After reading the reviews I decided to give this thing a try and I’m so impressed with the change in performance it has made on my Tacoma! The install was super easy, I probaby spent 25-30 min on it. Very straight forward and easy to follow instructions. My fuel consumption has definitely improved and also the truck just feels like it drives so much better. I would highly recommend it to you anyone who wants a bit more response out of their Tacoma and improve the gas mileage.
