Had trouble with sellers posting bad numbers on here before and had to return filters that didn't fit, not so with this one. It is truly 2.25 ID so what i was looking for.

I don't know if I just bought the wrong size but it seems like the wrong fit. When I put it on the pipe in my car it needs to be tightened so much that the clamp pops off. I decided to only loosely tighten it in the end and I'm worried it will fall off at any time.
