This is a near direct-fit for 2002-2006 Mini Cooper S JCW airbox which comes with a paper element filter that is considered to be restrictive and expensive to boot(even an aftermarket version such as the Mahle LX1628 filter is $60+).I say near direct-fit because you have to use the band clamp instead of having the filter snap into place. For the price, you can buy 2 RU-3130 filters and rotate the 2nd one while you are cleaning the first one.An optional step is to unplug the wiring harness for the vacuum-operated flap that opens at 4500 rpm and keep the flap propped open at all times.

I had a cold air intake I bought for my car years ago (2016 EB Mustang). I recently decided to put the intake back on but could not find the cone filter it came with.. I knew it was non branded K&N filter, I came on amazon and just looked up K&N filters with roughly 3.5'' inch inlet, turns out this is the exact one that came with my cold air originally.. perfect fit in size and length and same color/design.So if you have an Ecoboost Mustang with an MMR Big Tube Cold Air (discontinued.. Lol) this filter is for you!

Giving this only four stars because it was packaged in the box it came in - it's (display box) or whatever you want to call it. Poor protection with how ham handed carrier companies can be at times lately. The fit is okay, it's a very tight 3.5" flange diameter. The filter itself is okay, but slightly deformed so to speak, not enough to trigger my OCD, lol! Has plenty of pleats and surface area for a tight space like in my set-up, so I was happy to find it. I'm sure will flow better than what I had previously.

K&N son de esas marcas que jamás te quedan mal y esta vez no es la excepción. Por ser universal le queda a varios vehÃculos con entrada 3.5". Para ser sincero no noto mucho el cambio de potencia pero si en el sonido que hace al acelerar, puede ser que esté pequeño para mi XR7 3.8 supercharger. Lo compre junto con una funda de la misma marca para extender el intervalo de servicio. El costo más que perfecto si lo comparamos con otras marcas como Edelbrock o Spectre. Accesorio que no puede faltar para mejorar el rendimiento de tu auto.
