My 4 year old granddaughter loves the colorful design and I love the protection it gives her while she roller skates. Correction, as she learns to roller skate. :)

I got these for my 7yo old (slightly tall) daughter, and they're a good fit. She's learning how to roller skate and needed some extra padding for any falls, and was pretty excited for a set that looks so cute and colorful. The pads are of decent but not exceptional quality. At the moment, the elastic is nice and strong currently, allowing for a comfortable fit. The velcro is strong and isn't going to give out during a fall, which is obviously important. I do suspect that these won't be particularly long-lived, as the elastic is on the thin side. All in all, I'd say these are of equal quality to others in the same price range; they're working well at the moment, and they're cuter than most.

The knee pads are far too tight. I’ve got a tiny 4 year old and they still seemed too tight. She found them too uncomfortable to wear even with multiple attempts.

I’m slightly embarrassed to admit how long my fiancé & I stared at and discussed (read: argued over) these things, trying to figure out which one goes where. Obviously the wrist ones were pretty self-explanatory, but the knee and elbow pads look extremely similar. Basically identical, if I’m being honest. Then I opened the Velcro on one, and immediately saw a tag that said “left kneeâ€. We had a good laugh over that, and I made sure to take a picture to include with my review. They fit our 3yo well. We have a large area outside that is perfect for ride on toys, but unfortunately it’s all pavement. We have very little grass that isn’t a giant hill. We got her a helmet, and I thought that it would be enough—we are both 90s kids and I’m not even entirely sure if they made elbow/knee pads for kids in the 90s. But the first time I watched her “ride†her push bike, I knew the helmet was not enough.I’ll be honest that she was entirely unimpressed when she opened these for Christmas. But in a couple of months when it’s actually warm enough outside for her to use them, she will be glad for them.Like I said, I have no experience with kid’s elbow and kneepads, so I really can’t tell you if these are good quality or not. She’s a petite three, but they do fit her. I am comfortable with her wearing them. They seem like they will protect her well. The colors are really pretty (she did comment on that before running off to get another present to open), and I like that they came with a drawstring bag to hold everything in. Hopefully that will prevent any from getting lost.
